They have a wonderful rec center and lots of shopping.
Not to mention it is nestled amongst some of the most stunning views in Colorado.
I think if I hadn't been so tired and ready to fall asleep after a full day of snowboarding, I would have cared more about the general lack of non-fast-food options or at least lack of directions to food other than Wendy's pr Chipotle. The best was the outlet mall. The worst was the Mint Restaurant. We liked staying here because it was easy to get to skiing areas like Keystone, Beavercreek and Vail. Not much to do if your not there to ski or snowboard.
Ice castles were gorgeous but book in advance and no need to stay long. Bring your swim suits and prepare to hangout at the hotel from time to time. Silverthorne, Dillon, Frisco, Keystone and Breckenridge and all really close.
Amazing views, every kind of winter activity available. This trip was the Dillon ice castles and a sleigh ride with dinnef.

Highly recommend both. Location between many attractions, hiking, and dining makes Silverthorne a good location to stay for vacation. It is not a 4 star hotel but it was very nice and quiet place. My 1st time traveling alone and sharing bathroom and kitchen with others and I love it! Everyone there were very nice including new owners, they were like my own family! New owner and renovated the place. I love it and will come back next year with friends! Great, clean little place for a summit county vacation base for a couple or family of four would fit.
About feet above Dillon lake, great views over the lake and of Ptarmigan peak. Well stocked with supplies and utensils. Overlooks more wilderness than civilization. Got a massive room with super king bed, sitting area over the front desk so it was set back and very quiet. Staff was excellent.
One of the cleanest room ever stayed in. Good location. Friendly host and guests. Good common area. Would be good to stay during ski season.
