It was clean and staff were nice. The decore and furniture are older and marked up and room is in need of some minor cosmetic work. Breakfast is ok for cereal and a bagel, but don't expect much Kitchener Motel. Upon first impressions Victoria Motel. This review is aimed to be helpful to any traveller going there rather than my opinion. Things you may need to know: There were no sink or bath plugs. There was no Staybridge Suites Guelph. Crowne Plaza Kitchener-Waterloo. The Walper Hotel. Davidson Motel. Price was good, however, it was a small room needing lots of tender loving care. Good place if your on a tight budget.

Room service was awesome. The room was clean and tidy if not a bit cool temperature wise. Room price seemed high. Room service prices were high compared to Cora's next door. Restaurant prices were also high compared to Cora's next door. Cambridge Hotel and Conference Centre. Lobby and restaurant are nice and up to date. The staff was very friendly with us every time we interacted with them. We stayed in a suite, which had ample room for two adults and one child. Food and drink was good at the Bruce restaurant adjacent to the lobby. Was surprised that the lobby doors were not automatic which proved to make getting your luggage through the entrance a little cumbersome.
Room decor was likely 15 years out of date and sparse for the size of room we were in. Wedding coordinator Nicole was wonderful, professional and an outstanding understanding person. The check in staff was very unhappy with his job.. Not helpful at all Our room had a awful smell and communication between staff member was very much impaired.

Since it is pretty pricey to book a room at Staybridge, I was disappointed I had stained sheets on a fresh made bed. When I had checked out and got home, my one bag had about 30 alive red ants in it. Bag was on the floor the whole stay. It's clean, the room is terrific with a desk, a kitchenette, a great bed and efficient, comfortable washroom facilities.
Staff was very helpful. The breakfast is excellent. Sadly there isn't a restaurant on site but that was my only disapointment. Restaurants are close enough but a cafe or bar on site would be a great addition. Excellent staff and beautiful room. Great breakfast and Monday to Wednesday there is excellent supper for free. I would say this is the nicest hotel in Guelph and I have stayed in a lot of them.
Would recommend this hotel -0 out of 10 times! The rooms are very clean and spacious. The Staff was excellent and helped to move us from smoking room to non-smoking. They were extremely helpful. It's rare these days that there are smoking rooms. I am a former smoker but never smoked where I sleep and I'd suggest to have a dedicated area inside considering winter to smoke instead of rooms.
Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott Guelph. A perfect location for family getaways and sports teams. As a academic, I had a late meeting and got back to the hotel around am. In the morning at about am a construction worker was doing loud drilling, hammering, and sawing that could be heard in all the rooms given it's proximity to the stairwell. I was on the fourth floor and the construction was happening on the first, yet I still originally thought it was happening in the room beside me! When I called down to the desk I was told they'd take care of it. An hour went by and it was only getting worse.
I got up and changed and sourced out the construction. Eventually they had the guy stop. Bottom line: Best Western Plus Cambridge Hotel. If you are looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay in Cambridge, make a reservation at the Best Western Plus Cambridge Hotel! I spoke to front desk almost every shift during time there, and all were very friendly. One clerk took the time to provide elaborate details on the best public transportation into Toronto. They offer free breakfast items, and a few snacks are available for purchase.
But an onsite cafe would've been nice. Liked everything about the hotel. The breakfast was outstanding too!
