Highlands has the best, most extreme skiing. Snowmass is good too, but avoid Fridays and the weekends as it gets too crowded. There are reasonable ethnic places to eat and very fancy overpriced places too. Aspen ticks all the boxes for Ski, Apres and lifestyle. Abundance of dining options, wonderful shopping and bars. Easy to find your way around and heated streets make access and walking in town a pleasure.
It's a bit stuffy. My family grew up in Aspen and the surrounding areas, I'm more than familiar with the town. It's hard to watch this place go from small town to bustling tourist attraction. Roads are clear, the place is stunning, but be aware of the "you're not rich enough to be here" gaze.
Exquisite natural beauty, endless trails for biking, hiking, or simply viewing; uplifting cultural opportunities in music and dance. Friendly locals, easy access to activities, super easy shuttle transport to mountain sites; town is walkable from end to end. Plus, remarkable dining. A must-dine-at when in Aspen. In all aspects, Aspen is a glorious summer destination! Unfortunately, the town is busy,full of traffic, crowded and is losing its charm and quaintness.
It's become slick, very pricey and upscale. And there are a lot of new homes and condos being built which are blurring the natural landscape. The summer Aspen Music Festival is a crowning jewel!! And the mountains, scenery and hiking trails are gorgeous.
Go but be prepared. Beautiful property, centrally located in downtown Aspen. We had a lovely two bedroom apartment. We were able to walk across the street to the grocery and a specialty meat market. Aspen hotel has grills available for guests and we even cooked our dinner one evening. The lobby staff was very helpful. The rooms are cleaned daily. The pool and hot tubs are immaculate and beautiful.
Everything else was Absolutely Wonderful! The entire staff from the Front Desk, Consierge, Bell man and cleaning crew. It's rare but this place called The Little Nell is hands down the Best! Beds very very comfortable and I. Breakfast in the morning was one of.
Denver omelet was good. I lloved the Alpine look the hotel had. Nice flowers. With a heated pool and a hot tub what a great treat for skiers. Loved everything about this place and Marie who greeted us when we arrived made our stay. If you love skiing in Aspen or just adventure this is the place to stay. Super helpful and hospitable, I want to come back again soon!
I had An amazing stay at the hotel. Laurie the front desk agent was amazing and very helpful. She was attentive and very nice and made our stay amazing.
I would definitely visit cause of her warm charisma! Great restaurant with amazing food. Amenities great gym,pick up from garage to hotel, amazing helpful staff, rooms clean can eat from floor!!! Rooms well equipped etc. Close to town of Aspen. The staff is very friendly and the room is really comfortable.
The hotel location is very convenient and they also have a shuttle service to leave and pick you up at the city. It was perfect. Great location right in the heart of Aspen. Rooms are spacious and well designed. Good views of the mountains. Nice pool and hot-tub. Pretty good free breakfast each morning. Super cozy greatly located.
