The Wedge. Could not have been more disappointed! We started off with great drinks and the fried brie which was good. The balsamic glaze was a little off for the dish. It didn't take away from it, but it definitely didn't add to it. Our drinks were out quickly and were quite good. For dinner we ordered the Chilean sea bass, and the ribeye. Fish was way overcooked and flavorless swimming in flavorless sauces. It seriously lacked any seasoning, salt, pepper, anything. The ribeye was a joke! The only reason I'm giving 2 stars, is for customer service.
Our server was pleasant, however, this will not be a repeat dining experience. Mediocre food at an expense. Frankly I wouldn't come here again. The food and services were great. The only lackluster thing I can remember is being seated at a torn bench I have listed the pros and cons of the service etc. My Sea bass was very good. My husband on the other hand had a steak on an empty plate. Though tasty, it looked weird on the plate alone and needed the balance of some veggies. Corbin's has a unique atmosphere that can be used for dressy or more casual occasions.
The food is interesting and good, although it is on the pricier side. The service is typically exceptional. Overall, it's a very enjoyable place and one of our favorites for special occasions. We had a business lunch meeting at Corbin's and the staff was very accommodating with placement and logistics. They went out of their way to ensure privacy and low levels of ambient noise.
The wait staff was attentive but certainly not intrusive. I have not been there for dinner, but I believe it would be a very nice place to meet with friends. Thumbs up on Corbin's. I was asked how to make a martini and could I help. I asked for bone in and got bone out and a different cut There's more but you should get my drift, I hope.
All of us were pleased with dinner. The food was presented lovely and the meal was 1st class. Our server--Candice was attentive but not over bearing. I loved Corbin's and you can bet if you want a high class meal with wonderful service and a quiet atmosphere. Please, please give them a try. They will be our go to place from here on out. It indeed, was fresh, tasty and wonderful. Great food that was refreshingly different! Try the cioppino- it's awesome! We will be back! It had been 2 years since we dined at Corbin. We found out that the "Wedge" which was a popular item is not longer offered.
Our appetizers arrived when we were almost done with our meal. We requested xtra sauce and we never got it. The steak was ok but nothing to die for. So, the service and the portion of the meal did not warrant the cost. Not sure we will be back! Delightful, attentive staff. Salads and rainbow trout excellent. Upscale ambience enjoyable. Would return. They were accommodating when we needed to push back our reservation. We got there after 9: They close at They never rushed us and we left at It was slow at that point so our server was very attentive even when my husband spilled a drink!
We had the special which didn't have a price listed on the sign so that was a little of a shocker when we got the bill but it was delicious food. We enjoyed everything and all in our party of 4 loved their food. I would go back again for a special occasion or when bringing clients or friends from out of town to our neck of the woods! It was a last minute choice for Valentine's Day dinner for 8 of us and we were thrilled with out choice. First time ever eating here. Service was fantastic; having multiple people taking care of us throughout the dinner.
Food cooked perfectly and presented beautifully. My favorite was table side prepared bananas foster. We will all be returning much more often. I have taken a number of business clients to Corbins. I decided to take my wife to the restaurant for Valentines since I've enjoyed my other experiences. Unfortunately, I had a number of experiences that has since changed my perception of Corbins. I made a reservation, but we were seated 45 min after the time of my reservation.
The host took us to a huge table. We asked our waiter for a booth or a smaller intimate table. He told us that his manager would not allow this and would get upset with him for asking. My wife then talked directly to a manager without our waiter knowing and immediately changed us to a table that we wanted. After ordering our meal, my wife's lobster tail came out at half the regular size of the lobster tails we had watched being grilled at the restaurants entrance.
Again our waiter tried to explain that the lobster tail was normal sized. I persisted to say that it was not and asked him to talk to his manager again. After a fair amount of persuasion on our part, our waiter took my wife's plate. After a while later, the waiter brought out a normal sized lobster tail, which was in fact twice the size the original.
Bananas Foster was the best thing I've ever ate! The service was great, but the food was a disappointment. The steak was burned and had no flavor. They got rid of the wedge salad and raised their prices. I wouldn't go back again. I should have said something at the time but didn't. Our waitress was great and there were also other servers who were very helpful.
My wife an I have been going to Corbin's for special occasions for several years. I must admit that last year we decided not to return for various reasons. We found out that it was under new management and the menus looked very interesting.
We went the Friday before valentines and the service, food, and experience was perfect! Happy fun staff, very knowledgeable, eager to please. The food was really good especially Corbin's potatoes. Highly recommend this for special occasions. We had Calamari for appetizer, the sauce was good presentation great but Calamari was very rubbery. Not the best. Food was good again presentation was great. Had the New York Cheese cake for dessert. Not good but presented nicely. The atmosphere is nice, presentation very nice food quality okay for the price.
It was our anniversary and first time trying Corbins. I doubt we'd go back. Just not that great of food for price and had a more lunch atmosphere. The steak was a bit overcooked and for the price the flavor was lacking. I have been looking for a good place for my anniversary dinner ever since my go to place closed.
I think I found it at Corbin's Grille. They are a little pricy but not over the top for the quality of food, service and ambiance. I will return annually or perhaps more often. It was awful! Food was cold, portions ridiculous for the prices, service was rude when we asked about it. We had to ask for checks while eating our meal because after 2 hours waiting to eat, we had to rush to get home.
It was super disappointing - we won't ever go back again. Fantastic food. My husband and I will be eating here often. Our group loved the appetizers. We ordered the artichoke dip, shrimp rolls, and calamari to share. All were very good. The next course was the salad. Oh, the salad was as tasty as it was beautiful.
I love the raspberry vinaigrette dressing! Everyone loved their steak and lobster combo and I loved the stuffed chicken. We finished the evening off with desserts after all, it was New Years Eve The Molten lava cake didn't disappoint. Our friends had the bread pudding and it was huge! They said it was nummy. A great culinary experience! We arrived on time and our table was ready for us. Our server was helpful in explaining all of the options for our special night out. He made sure that everything went well all evening. The food was fantastic. Our entire party was satisfied with each selection and the special of the day was one of the best dishes we had ever had.
My wife and I will go there again for a special date. Our reservation was at 6: We were sat promptly and our waitress was very attentive for most of our dinner service. There were large groups of nicely dressed high school-aged kids so it must have been prom or something. Our service toward the end of the meal slowed considerably and some of our food came out messy, I assume this was directly related to the business and the size of the other groups. The charcuterie appetizer was the highlight of my meal, and my husband raved over the baked potato soup. I ordered the Cioppino which I thought came out a little bit messy with overcooked scallops, but the flavor was excellent.
They were very accommodating of dietary needs and made our overall experience quite nice. We did have a bit of a hard time hearing each other being 6-person round table, and in the middle of the restaurant.
Great food, great service, and great atmosphere! When it first opened the food was excellent. The food and services were great. Had fun celebrating s new job with some friends. Add a quick review Great for Lunch. The food wasn't horrible but it wasn't what you would expect for the cost.
I would definitely go back on a week night evening when they weren't as busy. After we ordered 20 minutes later the waiter notified us that they were out of the special, then minutes later they notified us that they were out of the crab cakes so we had to reorder. Then the tow of the 4 main courses came out 15 minutes later the other 2 orders came out.
