If you're lucky you might get to do some actual design work but new ads and redesigns are few and far between, unless you're a favorite.
If you're a favorite you get to work on the fun projects and get to go on photoshoots and things. I've learned not to take pride in my work, don't question things, don't talk to much, work independently but not too independently. Besides a small handful, the management is a joke. The majority of them walk around like they're the king and we owe them everything because they graced us with their presence. Thankfully there are a few, very few, mangers there who actually care about their designers and about design, they keep up on the newest design trends and strive to build up those they work with.
They build confidence and inner strength in their designers. There is no workplace culture, you come in, sit down, shut up and do your job. Quite honestly, the hardest part of the job is getting up and going in every morning. From what you've read here, can YOU imagine being happy about getting up and working in a place like this?
