No hidden surprises, no upsell, staff was friendly and honest. Overall I have NO issues taking my vehicle there and will return on next maintenance. Don't go anywhere else!

We were on our way, vacationing, we stopped for gas in Mason City about miles from home - Des Moines, Iowa. When we stopped our gas cover would not open on our Volvo. We looked up a Honda dealership for we previously had an Acura. We found Hosmer Honda. When we arrived and explained our issue to the receptionist she immediately found the Assistant Service Manager, Thom.
He without hesitation brought us to a service bay and looked into our issue, even though we were driving a Volvo.

Thom went above and beyond to assist us with courtesy and concern about our pending problem. He then took an additional step once the problem was fixed to give us great suggestions and assistance if it should occur again. I had a very dificult time getting in touch with the service department or getting a return call but understood as there was a severe cold snap. The service scheduler was finally able to get someone to come and jump start my car which I did appreciate. However the employee I saw at the service department was not helpful and very condescending.
He never introduced himself and looking at my receipt he gave only his first name, Ryan which was probably intentional as he was aware how unhappy I was with him. In the past I never had any problems with the service department and found everyone almost over eager to please but as for Ryan maybe he was just having a bad day but I certainly hope to have no further encounters with him. I went into the dealership without an appointment.
I knew my battery was old and asked them to check it. They did and said it needed to be replaced. They got me in, replaced the battery, washed the car, checked the air in the tires and I was out of there in 45 minutes. Wonderful crew, Austin was excellent.

Each time I have gone to Luther Hopkins Honda, they have been efficient and professional. The waiting area is comfortable and clean. From scheduling the appointments through paying my bill, the staff is knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. With or without an appointment I am greeted with friendly, so-happy-to-see-you attitude. They explain everything and take care of the smallest detail. I even go in to get my tire pressures corrected.
I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else for service or to buy a new car. Phone service was excellent and I got in when I wanted. Drove right in and they took the car and I waited. It only took 45 for oil change, and tire rotation. At the time of my service the service area seemed very busy, so it took some time before I was approached by a service associate.
So basically I had to tell the associate what the issue was as apposed to the associate looking on the Honda website to pull up my service order. The service staff does not appear to have training on pulling up a customer appointment schedule from the Honda website appointment scheduling. This is why I rated the customer service and overall experience the way I did. Order taken right away. Price quoted was correct. Service was done quickly and correctly.
