It's like you had just killed someone and the whole town is after you with pitchforks and torches. They gouge you for any baggage at ridiculous prices. Baggage is way to expensive and one free bag is not included plus it was really not mentioned until after you bought your ticket and were ready to get your check-in pass. My father bought me this plane ticket to go visit my family. Even though he paid for the flight, I was then responsible for paying for my seat and bags for both round trip flights. This airline is best described in one word: My flight home was cancelled due to high winds in Las Vegas which I understand is not the airlines fault.
However, the airline did absolutely nothing to accommodate their customers in finding a new way home. When I called customer service to try to find a new flight, the man assisting me was extremely rude and unhelpful and when I asked to speak with his supervisor he hung up on me! Second, how about you refund my money for my checked bag and seat on the plane and refund my father his money for the flight that never occurred? And I will make sure to let everyone I know follow the same advice too. Don't fly spirit unless you have no carryons or checked luggage.
The flight was delayed so long, I missed my wedding day and had to rent a car and drive Shane was horrible. I arrived safely. Spirit Airlines. Next to Circus Circus is Adventuredome, a theme park that all the family can enjoy. I did not like the expensive carry on bag fee or that I could not have my tickets on my phone. Boarding was smooth, easy and fast. Organized boarding.
Spirit is a rip off. The prices look good on paper, but are misleading. Extra dollars in fees. Easy on line check in and just head towards the gate. Staff very friendly. No delays. No frills. And the low price fare with all the add ons at check in. Also misleading. That young man boarded and was asked to give up his seat, so an older lady could sit with her family, and he graciously crowded into the window seat that was initially assigned to the elder passenger.
The plane sat on the tarmac without the engine on, with absolutely no air circulating in the cabin, and it was stifling hot, making me feel ill. There was no water available to drink and no running water in the bathroom -- passengers must "wash" their hands with a flimsy inadequate hand wipe. Nothing they are bench seats so when you went to put seat belt you touch the other persons butt.
This was the first flight if the day and the plane floors were fithly. It look as though they have not been vacuumed in a few days!!! Ticket prices are always the best. Even though The flight was delayed by 30 minutes we were only 15 minutes later into the terminal. The flight was delayed by 30 minutes but we were only 15 minutes later into the terminal.
Spirit terminal at Las Vegas was hopelessly crowded; standing room only. By contrast the Southwest terminal next door was orderly and calm. Spirit needs to find a location in the airport with more space. I never got on the plane and would like to have a credit for another flight if possible please I was locked up in facility and missed my flight.
The flight itself was great, but not sure why we were charged extra for our carry on bags and seat assignments. We were charged extra each way for our carry on bags and seat assignments. If we would have booked directly with Sun Country we would not have had those fees. The direct flight was the biggest plus. The seats all had a USB outlets which was convenient. Flight attendants worked the plane efficiently and were very attentive. We were stuck on runway because of mechanical problems for 45 minutes and would have rather not have boarded until things were fixed.
I however appreciate being safe, and didn't mind waiting, just would have preferred to not be stuck for 45 minutes on the plane. Also, I am not a fan of your carry on luggage and seat fees. After adding all the fees up with the cost of the ticket, it might be cheaper for me to fly another airlines in the future. Flight to Vegas was delayed several times. I loved their free wifi on the plane. They have a lot more legroom in their planes than other airlines.
We were on a multi city trip when our flight on Spirit was cancelled. The only options were take the flight the next day, get a refund or a travel voucher for another flight. In reality none of these options were acceptable. We ended up having to take the flight the next day which required us to send additional monies for another hotel night and an additional day car rental. Spirit refused to absorb any of the additional costs involved in the delay. They also refused to try and rebook us on another airline to make our arrival at the next stop.
Customer service is a complete joke. Spirit did not notify us of the cancellation. Our host at the hotel on our next stop notified us that the flight was cancelled as he received notification from the limo service. This was as we were driving to the airport for the flight that was cancelled.
The nickel and dime approach to make up for the lower airfare was ridiculous and petty. We have not been treated so poorly by any airline in the past and we travel frequently. Small seats, no water got very thirsty , everything is overpriced in airports, not able to sleep, red eyes suck.
Online Check in is a bit overwhelming. Too many adds, seat selection charges, etc. Too confusing. The flight took off, flew, and landed safely.
It was on time and non stop so of course my overall rating is 5 stars. I arrived safely.
Paying extra for carry on luggage. Paying TO the agent who looked at me with such a bored expression and insolent manner. I should "like" that she printed the boarding pass so that I could skip through the long snaking security line But she didn't tell me so of course I was in the long snaking security line! And there she was at the gate and she merely smiled when I asked her why she hadn't told me.
Such rudeness. All in a day's work for your employee. Your crew lacked the initiative that someone performing a job they are content with would show. So nothing nice to say about your bored staff. What great representation of this airline they give. I like it that you only pay for what you want!!!! Airline was great. Told us right away they were only going to do one drink service so we could order two.
Left on time and had no issues. Would definitely fly with them again.
Even though you have to pay to check a bag, it's still a better deal than any other airline out there. People need to stop complaining about the extra fees, do you want cheap or not. Refused to accept her military ID. She is a first responder in a unit that responds to search and rescue and terrorist attacks and was returning from three days of maneuvers.
Baggage lost.
Still not here forty hours later. Zee was our flight attendant and she was absolutely wonderful. Personable, attentive, and she made sure each and every person on the plane was comfortable and happy, going so far as to move solo passengers to empty rows so they could have more space. I wish she could be on every flight I take. We had exit row seat, most uncomfortable ever, video devices both broken.
Will never sit in exit row again would have been better off in basic economy.
