When I booked DS2 and GF for his 18th birthday, they had run short of money by the last day, so only had breakfast and some cheap snacks. I would have booked them HB if it had been available then.

Remember that HB gives you one voucher pp per night of your stay, so if you use them for arrival day lunch or dinner, then the following days, you will not have one for lunch or dinner on your last day, so still have to buy one meal at least unless you are leaving before lunchtime.

We usually book one of these for late lunch on our last day, before leaving in the evening, and pay by cash if we have used all our HB Plus vouchers in Plus restaurants. You don't pay any extra with your vouchers if you use them in the correct restaurants for Standard category see the list in post 2. You will get an all you can eat buffet, including one soft drink or bottle of water per voucher, or be given a menu to choose one starter, one main and one dessert per voucher in the table service restaurants, also with one soft drink or bottle of water per voucher.

Buffets are easier if you have kids under 3yrs, as they can have food from the buffet as well, or ask for free babyfood. In table restaurants they are given free babyfood, or can share parents meals, or you can buy something for them, so a bit more restricted if kids are too old for babyfood and want more. You only pay more if you eat in a higher category restaurant instead, where they deduct your vouchers from the final bill, and you pay the difference. You don't get the drinks included though.

In buffets, kids aged yrs with HB vouchers can eat what they like. In table service restaurants kids with vouchers will be given a kids menu to choose from. You can only have dinner in the parks when they are open late. When parks close earlier, you can use the vouchers for lunch instead, or for dinner in the Village or Disney hotels. Restaurants in the parks are only open for dinner when the parks close later, so it depends on park hours.

Fast food places stay open for longer, but some table service and buffet restaurants last entry time may be 3pm or 4pm if the park closes at 7 or 8pm. The Studios Park closes at 6pm most of the year, apart from peak school holiday time and special celebration dates. September parks hours are showing up to 18th at present. After Summer Time ends on 4th Sept, parks closing times drop to 6pm in the Studios and 7pm in the main park on weekdays. So some restaurants in the parks will not be open for dinner. At weekends the main park is open until 10pm or 9pm, so early dinner in the parks should be possible, although you could miss the show on Central Plaza Stage if you are in a restaurant.

You don't book for fast food ones, and you can only use your vouchers in those if you have the free dining offer which includes two vouchers per day - one for lunch, and one for dinner.

It might be better to use your vouchers for late lunch in the Disneyland park , then you are less likely to miss a parade or show, if kids are going to be too tired to eat in the Village or hotels after the park has closed. Annettes Diner in the Village is open all day, so you can use your vouchers there when you like. The buffets in the Cheyenne and Santa Fe hotels are open from 6pm to Stars n Cars will be around 2pm.

OUAD parade will be around 5pm. So you could leave the Studios at 6pm when it closes or earlier, and have dinner in the Village or one of the two hotels - which hotel are you staying in, and what dates? When the parks are not busy on weekdays outside school holidays, you can make dining reservations one day ahead usually, so we make a booking for our arrival day, then one day at a time when we have decided what we are doing. If you have had lunch in the parks, you can buy food in the Village from McDonalds or Earl Of Sandwich when you leave the parks to eat in or take back to your hotel, or one of you can walk back to the Village later if you are in one of the Disney hotels.

It has similar traditional foods to Plaza Gardens buffet in the Disneyland Park. Agrabah gets very good reviews, but depends what foods you like. They are all Standard HB category. If you use Standard HB vouchers in Silver Spur Steakhouse in Frontierland, they will gave you a Standard HB menu, which has a few choices for starter, main and dessert, and also a kids menu for kids aged who have vouchers. Kids under 3 will be offered free babyfoods, or you can buy something from the menus for them. The buffets are easier with young children, as under 3's can eat free from the buffet, and most kids like choosing what they want when they can see the foods on display.
