We took our son and a couple of friends here and they had a blast!!! It has always been a great time for the kids. This year they stopped allowing you to bring food i.
Pizzas or whatever.. I understand they are a business but charging 10 bucks for a small pizza and 2 bucks for a 6 oz cup of pop is straight up gouging people I've competed here at a sheepdog trial every Labor Day weekend for the last 5 years. The field is world class and very competitive. Handler dog teams came from 13 states and Canada this year.
For spectators, there is not a better thing to do than to spend a day watching these dogs take a group of sheep around the course. Family of four - youngest was a 4-year-old.
We all had a fabulous time and it was relatively inexpensive for us. Badlands is a fabulous tubing park! Offering smaller, milder hills for younger family members and steep fast slopes for the daring at heart! You are able to go it alone or grab all your peeps and go down together. They have a decent Chalet offering popcorn, pizza, hot chocolate, etc.
You are also welcome to bring in your own snacks to ease the pocketbook. Price is fair for an afternoon of fun! This was a wonderful place for winter tubing at a great price. Badlands has hills sure to please any and all skill levels. A great family get-away that's not too far away from Mall of America, too! Make a weekend of it and enjoy!
