I think you can print the coupons directly from the HF site no? Once they get so old the disappear from the HF website Removed the slickdeals links and linked to images I had saved on Photobucket instead If it dont work they type in the coupon code. When ordering online, you type in the coupon code yourself to use the coupon.

I have yet to have one to fail to scan at the store. I think this link will prove to be valuable, and thanks for doing this. Just so everyone knows not all HF stores will accept copies of coupons. My local store will only take the original one, but this could be the cashier that you get. When asked why they wouldn't take copies the cashier simply pointed to the fine print on the coupon. Gee who reads that stuff anyway. Here is a good site that has HF and other coupons. All of the links I clicked take you back to the HF website with the current affiliate coupon.

Hopefully if they keep the current deals linked some good deals can be found. It may be superseded by the "Official Coupon Policy" but it's worth looking at. It is being discontinued, you can only get them in the stores, if they still have any left overs. Our store will as I'm sure others will also. Those pound models are a much better value than the cheaper ones. It loaded fine on my machine, it's a legit imageshack page so there should be no issue there. Also if you have two of the same thing and two coupons, buy one, then go to a different register and buy the second. I had one employee tell me they look for repeat and the employees can get in trouble for two transactions of the same thing right after each other. But all in all, how can I say that you have or have not used one with a different employee durning that day. I'm not there to babysit. I doubt printed coupons will work. Technically, we are supposed to only take them from the Harbor Freight Pages off line, but how am I to tell where you got them from if they look like what HFT puts out. If they were all different, thats what they were supposed to do.

They also restocked their clamps, so I picked up one of the 12 inch freebies.

And the Goodwill right next door to the HF had a couple of dehumidifiers cheap! So the trip was definitely worth it. They gladly gave me a rain check so I could get the cart later when they got more in stock - what I did not realize until the girl cut ou the coupon and stapled it to the rain check is that you still have to present the coupon with the rain check to get the sale price at a later date - I am just passing this on in case anybody else did this - everyone else may have realized this but I didn't. Thats a store policy. We have to either attach the coupon to the rain check or write that it is a special or monthly sale AD.

I don't see one for the 2-ton, but I just got one for the 1-ton this morning in my email. HF store honored the coupon, no problem at all. They did have to have the manager enter an override code, but no big deal. Just a reminder, I know others are doing this as well. I used it yesterday to buy a set of scaffolding.

The class had engineers and machinists; the machinists all measured the part about a thousandth bigger because the engineers were clamping it down more.

So how big was it really? Or rather how was the micrometer calibrated? Something to keep in mind. It's funny how HF works, one model gets good reviews and another similarly priced model gets terrible reviews; the difference being that the better one also gives fractional readings and must have a different brain. Anywho, I haven't had a battery go bad yet and it seems to stay off when I'm not using it. Measurements have been consistent and accurate speaking as someone with formal machinist training and six years of experience as a maintenance mechanic. It gets my nod.

Find More Posts by headloss. A note about digital calipers; After some amount of use, these calipers will not zero properly. Of course you can still close the jaws and "zero" with the little button, but as the calipers are opened, the first few thousandths of an inch or several hundredths of a millimeter will not register, and the readings, over time, will be on the small side of actual.

I have several such calipers, one has been in continuous use for 15 years, and their readings do vary. The way to verify the accuracy is to measure a new Gr25 ball bearing of known size. This way, you can mentally adjust the readings to be accurate in cases where the instrument has developed the "freeplay" symptom of failing to read some initial amount of jaw opening.

Note that one poster from an older BF thread mentioned that there is no gear rack in these digital models, so I cannot say what actually causes this what would be the symptoms of freeplay in a mechanical dial caliper. There is no repair for this that I know of, which is why I have bought a new digital caliper every few years, when on sale. Although I believe we are well past the point where it costs more to produce an accurate vernier caliper than it costs to produce one of these, the vernier calipers would seem to be much more durable overall in terms of retaining accuracy.

I've used digital calipers for measuring very small differences in square bb spindle tapers and have to be mindful of these instrument's limitations! Last edited by dddd; at Find More Posts by dddd.
