I doubt it. Dinner at the Country Kitchen was good. The view is awesome. Overall, this is one of those places where we've "been there, done that. I am so sorry to hear that the Gardens were not as you expected. This time of year there is not allot in bloom. The John A Sibley Horticultural Center is a great place to see flowers and lots of color for the holidays.
The number of butterflies flying vary day to day and if the sun is behind the clouds, they don't tend to fly as much. The Country Kitchen is always a great place to eat when visiting. We want you to know that your visit with us is appreciated and we do hope that you will give us another try maybe at a different time of the year. My family has considered Callaway Gardens Christmas a tradition, however after recent years decline in service and common sense concern, we will end this tradition.
Service declines at the Inn has been our biggest concern, but this year they Christmas Lights took bad judgement to a new height. We booked our package online and selected the time slot. Although we werent asked, we assumed we would be on the Trolley when looking at the lights. The day of our reservations was very cold and rainy, and with a sick toddler we called to ask if we could drive a vehicle through instead. Although this is an option, if you did not select vehicle when you made the reservations, then you could not make the change.
I can understand not being able to cancel and get a refund, but accommodations can be made change the transporation mode. We won't plan to visit Callaway in the future. Thank you very much for leaving your feedback regarding your experience with our property and Fantasy in Lights. Feedback positive or negative is how we celebrate successes or learn from our mistakes and get better for all future guests.
I want to apologize for the apparent miscommunication that you received regarding switching from Trolley to driving your own vehicle. We do accommodate those changes to occur due to weather in the original time slot that was signed up for with the trolley. We do however inform guests that the wait times might be longer as we accommodate all of these last minute changes. It sounds like you received exactly opposite of what we should be saying so we have already gone back to all of our staff to reiterate this as the last thing we would want to do around this joyous time of the year is to upset anyone.
Again we are sorry for this miscommunication and do hope that you might reconsider coming back to visit us again in the future. Happy Holidays,. I experienced the magic from Fantasy in Lights 5 or more years ago and it was amazing, I loved it and couldnt wait to tell everyone and to share it with my friends and family. My husband and I went yesterday It was a 2 hour drive for us and we were so shocked and disappointed.
