I am going through my HUGE stash. I realized that I have more than a lifetime's worth of full- time knitting. The purging process is slow and painful; however, I am gradually making some progress. Esther recommends anyone who is looking for a carder to take a class on drumcarding before you buy, so that you can try different types and see what kinds of carders are right for different applications. Cocktail Hour is a bit more costumey than either host can pull off… but the lace pattern is beautiful.
Altogether, both Brittany and Dana would knit enough patterns from this eBook to justify buying it. In this segment, we talk about what how we decided on our wheels, and what criteria we used to pick them. She learned very quickly that she prefers double treadle wheels to single treadle wheels, and decided to sell her Fricke to get another wheel in early She asked Morgaine from Carolina Homespun to bring a Kromski Sonata and a Majacraft Suzie to Stitches South so she could try them both, and she decided on the Suzie pretty much immediately. She tried several different styles of wheels, but had her heart set on a Saxony style wheel until she tried the Kromski Sonata and fell in love immediately!
