Yes, all TVs offer up the same quantity of pixels and thus technically the same fixed ultra-sharp resolution, but differences in central processor technology, color quality, contrast and other display specs can really make a massive difference in just how good native 4K video looks on a 4K UHD TV screen. All of the above 4K models are some of the best for their brands and thus offer superb picture quality for native 4K movies.
However, even between them, there are serious differences, with the OLED 4K TV models delivering contrast and dimming technology which are simply incomparably better than those of the LCD 4K models in the listing above. This is what upscaling achieves. It reprocesses non-4K video to make it look sharper and closer to native 4K resolution. All of the listed 4K TV models offer superb upscaling engines. Backlighting in all 4K TVs on sale today can basically be divided into two broad technology types: What is your opinion on this one?
Does it have HDR and quantum dot display? Sorry not able to get proper specs of the product.
Hey there Jack. Hi there Joshua, which TV are you referring to specifically? I went yesterday in market and visited the same model. I want to buy from it from Pakistan and i guess this model is launched in this country. Please clarify that. Also, the model SKU numbers will likely be different in your region. However, for models I highly recommend from Sony, a great choice is the XC from It offers superb color quality, good black performance and excellent motion control and upscaling specs.
However, the model is nearly as good in almost all ways while offering better black performance. I am looking to buy a 4K TV and I will mainly use it for movies. My budget would be under max euro. Would you advise the year old SUHD over the newer one? Hey there Kevin. I would recommend the JS over the KU but only very slightly.
Deals and Shenanigans. Samsung TV catalog Thank you very much. Also, do you recommend something else from another brand.. To that end, it's absolutely fair to say that the TCL 6-Series is the best TV you can possibly get in this price range.
It offers superior motion control specs and the particularly rich colors of wide color gamut, which the KU does not have. In other regards, the KU is actually a superior 4K TV in terms of black performance, contrast and black uniformity. It also does offer decent color performance. What ate my choices? My content is all cable quality from Optimum, no streaming. Any suggestions? The XD offers superb color performance, great brightness, superb motion control for movies and gaming and is also a very decent performer at contast and black level. In terms of upscaling and overall picture quality??
Thank you. What is your thought? I found an affordable model — 55KU Plz suggest.
Would you advice to buy this TV?? I had a terrible experience with the Sony XBR55xC with poor light bleed, horrible blacks in dark scenes, and pretty poor performance while watching 4k HDR movies with the letterbox along the bottom and top of the screen due to significant light bleed. I have since returned my Sony television and am in the hunt for a new television.
My main concern is great black levels in dark scenes and 4k HDR movies with a letterbox, no light bleed, and smooth gameplay and TV watching during sporting events. With that being said, the picture quality is the most important aspect for me and something with low levels of blur. Do you have any recommendations? I want the best bang for my buck but do not want to skip on quality where I have to replace the set in a few years. HDR would be fantastic, especially 10 bit vs 8 bit. Hi Stephen! I am getting both these models at same price.
Thank you in advance. Regards, Alan. Hello Stephen!
