And I'll say a few of the good things first before going into the reasons why this is most likely going to be returned to the store. It's well built. It's sturdy and it can take a beating for sure. It's heavy so it's very planted on the ground and it's close to impossible to flip.
The assembly out of the box is very easy. The battery goes for a long time. The multiple speed adjustment is handy for learning how to use it. There is enough power to climb small hills. Now the bad things, from things that make it useless down to annoyances and things that could be better given the price.
As such, the 2 wheels don't spin uniformly. Max pressure on both joysticks, and the thing doesn't go in a straight line. And that means you can't have a kid drive this on a sidewalk. Given it's weight, unless you back onto a green park, that alone renders this useless as you can't take it anywhere. Sometimes going super gentle on them makes the toy go slow, which is good.
Other times you hit the end and the thing won't start moving, so you have to start again. When you do, if you go a touch harder on them, one side tends to jump. This makes it extremely difficult to maneuver it in tight-ish spaces say between 2 cars on the driveway, on the way to the park.

Sometimes the toy starts moving sooner, sometimes later, sometimes it doesn't. So frustrated kids tend to slam on the joysticks that also does nothing.

The wheels are plastic. This doesn't provide much grip on most surfaces. So the thing often does a tire spin when starting, and because of the independent motors, when one wheel spins more than the other, this causes the whole vehicle to turn in place So if you spend some time dragging it to align it with the sidewalk, or general direction where you want to drive it, likely that'll never happen. Overall, it's a fun unique toy. If you have a big lawn and don't care too much which direction this will go, or you're happy with using it to spin in circles, this does the job.
If you want to actually drive it where YOU want to drive, this won't go there. And before you say that it's the kids' fault, we put an adult who meets the weight restriction on it and all this info comes from them trying to drive it.
Verified Purchase. CappTech Top Contributor: He has a disability and isn't walking on his own yet. I wasn't sure he would be able to work this bike very well but he absolutely loved it. He was so happy he was able to make a vehicle move all by himself. The laughs and giggles were all I needed to know I might a great purchase in this. It was super easy to put together, was packaged just right, and was easy to operate for our grandson.
So glad we got it! Box had been torn open and repeatedly taped. Had been put together by someone. No instructions. Does not work. Obviously I received a returned broken item. My advice is go to the store and buy it. However, you are getting a feature packed, high-quality item that is well worth what you pay for it. This product is recommended for children 5 to 10 years of age.
