Advice would be to be careful with installation even though it's easy to do the instructions are not updated. Either way it was a breeze to do. I was hoping this was going to assist with the "shudder" problem I was having but no luck so far. With that being said I would definitely recommend this product and stage 3 Motorsports to friends and family. Installed in about 30 minutes, can not believe the crap that was being sent back through the motor.
Great product and recommend for anyone with an ecoboost. I purchased the black version of the kit for a more stealthy look.
Warranty & Support
I was initially impressed with the quality of the catch can, hoses, and fittings, except for the worm gear hose clamps at the tee fitting. Even though the hoses are all the same size, there were two large hose clamps with long tails sticking out and one smaller, more properly sized hose clamp. I removed those hose clamps, used heat shrink tubing to prevent the outer braid of the hose from fraying, and replaced the ugly worm gear hose clamps with black double grip plastic hose clamps for a cleaner look.
The hoses mated up to everything perfectly, but when I mounted the catch can in the stock hole, I couldn't close the hood because the hood brace hit the catch can. I moved the catch can an inch to the right using a different mounting hole on its bracket, but the hood still hit it. I then drilled a hole another inch to the right and tried again with no luck.
The catch can then cleared, but the hoses still hit the brace. I finally tied the hoses back with a zip tie the get them to clear the hood brace.

When I closed the hood, the catch can vibrated and I heard a rattling sound come from inside. To make a long story short, I had to remove the entire system to send the catch can back under warranty to have them open it up to fix whatever is loose inside. Seems a bit pricey for what it is, but it does appear to be pretty good quality hose, connections and can.
Instruction were lacking as many others have said, but after watching some youtube videos I figured it out and had it installed in less than an hour. It does now come with a drop bracket, so the hoses dont rub on the hood when you latch it, so thats nice that they fixed that issue. I had heard some people got a surprise and had to drill into their air intake box? Not sure about that.. After researching this item, i was pretty impatient to get it on my truck after seeing what all it kept from going back into the engine, i would say its a preventative maintenance must.
The directions were a little hard to follow but trying to explain exactly where things need to go on paper can be kind of hard. Better pictures would make it easier but glad some were there. The can itself seems to be of good quality and fit without interfering with the hood, though very close. The braided lines were a perfect fit and also seem to be of good quality.
I had no problems reinstalling the engine cover. I would recommend cleaning out the intercooler. I can only imagine the amount during my next oil change. In my opinion, well worth the money if it going to help prolong the life of my truck. Super easy install, took about 30 minutes. Already caught 16oz of sludge after a month.
Instructions were garbage. It took about an hour to install. Beyond that everything else was simple. Item works great, easy install. These should be on all the ecoboost engines from the factory. I purchased the polished unit, it took all of about 15 minutes to install, it fit like a glove and looks awesome, need to put some miles on it to see what collects, everything popped off and on in a heartbeat and routing is clean, Highly recommended!
F ecoboost. Product is high quality. The instructions are easy to follow and installation was quick. Took me 15 minutes. I had to add a clamp on the clean side seperator hose because iit was not going to stay attached. This why it is 4 stars instead of 5. Other than the clamp issue I am very happy with it. I recommend that any one with an Ecoboost should get one of these. Definitely a must for any Ecoboost owner. I'm very happy with the kit. The hoses and the catch can. Are all high quality parts. The instructions aren't the greatest. But it wasn't hard to figure out.
After three days of cold weather driving. I drained six ounces of oily water out of the catch can. Now for the one thing I didn't like. The standoff provided in the kit. It only mounts to the truck with one screw. And holds everything out. Where the hoses get in the way of the grill brackets. I think UPR dropped the ball on that one. They should have provided a better way of mounting. For such a nice kit. I remedied that.
By making my own bracket. All in all though. A great kit. Would definitely recommend. I cannot believe how much crap this thing caught. Pretty simple install, took about a half hour.

Looks great, works great, I've already recommended it to friends with similar vehicles. Very easy install, very good looking, high quality parts. Install was super easy. Only drawback is the passenger side hoses are pinched by the hood grill brace. Drove about 2 days miles drained about ounces of a milky colored oil and gas mixture. Just got my black finish mega catch can in the mail from UPR, product is built very well and has a nice sleek look. Total install took 10 minutes.
Looks awesome right behind the grill and blends right in for a factory look. Only problem I had is getting the stock plastic intake cover to fit back on completely. It's getting hung up on the driver side, but I'm sure if I take another look at it it'll snap right on or at worst just need some minor modification.

This kit is complete plug and play, only drilling I needed to do was two holes to relocate my crash sensor. Great product and I can't wait to see how much oil it pulls out. After talking to Lou who was a awesome help I decide to make the plunge and pick up this catch can to address my random shutter and eating spark plug issue. Like other said the install is really straightforward and didn't take that long. Great quality in overall product. So far it's withstanding the cold weather and harsh environment that I drive in.
After two weeks I finally drained it and was surprised to see what came out good mixture of oil,water, and gas approx 10oz worth. My truck is modified CAI, catless DP, 5-star tune and I did notice a lot smoother idle and no hesitation or misstep at full throttle.
My miles per gallon also seems to be improving against what I normally get during winter time. Would highly recommend this product along with going through Stage 3 folks! The easiest installation ever, anyone can do it. Drove 50 miles and already the catch can did its job. All parts fit directly to the engine as if they were OEM. Awsome buy!!! This is a superb product. Well engineered of great materials and this kit was an exact fit to my application which made it plug and play. Install was 20 to 30 minutes tops. The only thing missing was zip ties to strap the lines in place. Ordered satin finish, received polished chrome. Otherwise, item as described. Very pleased, great milling work, took about twenty minutes to install.

It was a very easy installation. I will agree with another reviewer that the instructions are useless and the pictures are the same. For a DIYer I could see how that could be confusing. Very easy to install took about 30 minutes it was plug and play. All plug and play, super easy to install. Looks good under the hood too. After miles, it filled the bottom of a coffee can with milky white liquid. Seems like a good upgrade so far. I was a bit skeptical about the price, but I must say I am amazed by how much gunk this Can is catching.
Install was very easy and took approx. Most of that was routing tubing and getting it just right. All the connections are plug and play making the install super clean and easy. I am super happy with this product and would recommend it to anyone considering a Catch Can. You won't be disappointed!! It does catch stuff! Does it improve MPG or increase horsepower? Will it prevent early engine failure, one can hope it will reduce my chances.
The installation was straight forward. Though every model vehicle will have something slightly different. My install was easy. The can and hoses supplied look and feel like they should last the like of your engine. The connectors make the job easy. In the past month I have collected about 8oz in miles. Great product designmin. It then stopped working after a rain storm. The problem was the transformer that is in-line between the plug and the unit. I emailed customer service; they asked a few questions to make sure it was the transformer, and then they sent me a new transformer along with a new catch bag as a gift. They advised me to make sure that the transformer was off the ground when I received the new unit.
Although they did not ask me was not a condition of replacement , I did have the original transformer laying on the ground when it rained. It appeared to be sealed, and I don't know if that contributed to its fault, but the new transformer has worked perfectly through several rains; and it is tie-wrapped off the ground above my GFI outlet. The pictures below are what I found when I emptied the catch bag.
There were many very small winged insects that stuck to the mesh of the bag and did not come out but I thought that what came out made enough of a point. Many of these insects were stuck together by antennae and legs and were clustered so I could not count them all. I saw that there were at least 6 moths that were captured. Overall I could not be more pleased with both the performance of the product and the outstanding customer service when I ran into a problem. I plan on seeing how this unit holds up this season and I will likely buy another. But combining with CO2 is a must for This thing works great.

Not nearly as many. But after killing thousands of mosquiyos last summer This thing combined with a mosquito yard service would most likely get rid of them all. The only reason I am not giving it 5 stars, is because it looks as if it's not sturdy enough to last for several years, which is something I expect after paying so much money for something. I am a fairly critical person and not easily impressed. I sent the first unit back to the manufacturer because it was malfunctioning, but the company worked with me and sent me a replacement.

I was very skeptical unpon receiving this product I mistakenly thought the product ran off of batteries when in fact it has a very long extension cord it has a transformer and uses a long run of LED strip light wire-low power wire. It has suprpassed my expectations. I use it in conjunction with the CO2 option and bait strips. I would order another unit to place on a more remote part of my propert if it were battery operated.
We were definitely hesitant to drop the cash for this device After it was set up, and running for about 3 days we noticed a dramatic decrease in mosquito activity. We have kept the CO 2 tank full and have continued to have a mosquito free yard. No more bites, and no more insanity. Very pleased with this product, money well spent!! Works very well in Texas Hill Country. We have a pond and our yard was unusable due to mosquitoes and biting gnats.
Within 10 minutes we would have dozens of bites and the swarms of mosquitoes would drive us back inside.
