Normal I walk out having eaten too much.
It is a little expensive but the food is fantastic, they bring you some really excellent warm bread while you wait for your order and the portions are extremely generous so we always have enough leftovers to take home for another meal or two which helps justify the cost. Le Kabob is the best. Awesome food, unlimited fresh baked pita served with super-garlicky toum sauce. Love the chicken shawarma, the kabobs, and the various sampler platters they have.
Sheshco uses the same recipes, but is no longer under the same management, and also is very good. Ostas would be my second favorite.
Love the subtle spice on their meats and the beef shawarma. Nice ambience. A little pricy and closed mondays. I also think that Pita House is excellent for falafel or gyros. Great concept homegrown in West Michigan. Love the topping options and the fresh made unique bread at Gita Pita.
Sometimes the food can feel a little "heavy" so it's not a regular part of my lunch rotation but always good as a special treat. I'm not the biggest fan, but I know many people who are. The dishes have more sweet notes than other mediterranean-style dishes, usually coming from dried fruits or pomegranates.
Fancier ambience and higher prices than others listed. Thanks for taking the time to write out your reply. This is the kind of response I want to get in these posts. My girlfriend and I go there for the sample platter. We always leave with a huge box of leftovers.
I, and I'm sure many other readers, appreciate your effort! Gita Pita, holy cow. Everything there is homemade down to their pita, made fresh before your eyes. First time I went there, that sold me. As some other posters have said, the food can be a little heavy at times but it's so great.
The gyros at Sami's are so different than Gita that I end up going to one or the other based on different cravings. Sami's gyros are HUGE. They are nearly impossible for me to finish. They have a huge variety of toppings, probably the best I've seen in. Both Sami's and Gita are a "quick service" style where you pick the ingredients you want as its made before your eyes.

Sheshco Grill tries hard to be a bona fide Middle Eastern restaurant with an array of artifacts, photographs and even weapons, to emit authenticity. On this evening, a violinist performed Arabic and Top 40 songs — though I would suggest sticking to Arabic music, which is more fitting, and frankly, sounds a lot better than a Celine Dion aria. The end result when combined with the garlic sauce is nirvana. Share Also read: Follow Along Subscribe to our newsletter no junk, promise!
