All hotels operating under the Studio 6 name offer affordable rates for extended stay guests. These rooms often come with a fully equipped kitchenette, cookware and utensils. Major competitors to the Motel 6 brand now include Super 8 and Homestead Studio Suites, which also provides rooms for extended stay travelers. While other hotel chains upload photos to their websites that give travelers a look at the rooms in a specific property, Motel 6 actually offers video tours of some of its hotels.

Motel 6 started a massive renovation in that continues today. The company hopes to renovate and upgrade every room and property in its chain within the next few years.
