Although it was construction going on, I must say that it was still nice and great location. I can expect the same thing at every holiday in express. The pool and hot tub were set to a lovely temperature. They were also not overly chlorinated, so it was easy to swim underwater with open eyes. I'm disabled due 2 back trauma.
Staff tried 2 force me out of my room because of night staff's error. It wasn't too close to anything spectacular, but it was close enough to drive everywhere. Sheets werent clean feeling. Had to request other sheets. This place seemed to attract shady type of hotel guests and individuals who seemed to hover around the parking lot. The lady who worked in the eating area was so nice.
It was great seeing her every morning. The front window had a bullet hole and staff were unaware of it. There was also a silicone object, possibly from a bra and must have been there from the previous guests. Next morning we woke up and were gone all day and came home to an unmade bed. My favorite feature was the separation wall between the beds.
It gave me and my son privacy. That was an unexpected pleasure. Also, enjoyed the charging station for your electronic devices, phones and tablets. My son who is 13 years old, enjoyed swimming. There was nothing I didn't like about this hotel. Even the breakfast was nice.
In fact, my family has decided to make this the place to go when we are in town for our Jehovah Witness assembly's. Making the event even more special. We love the breakfast it was great, we didn't need to go out. We know we will be back the Hartfield's. AC in room smelled terrible, noisy doors banging at 6am and building construction. The night staff, Diane, was what made my stay. She was professional, friendly, welcoming and everything you could want in customer service.
I will be returning home just because of the treatment she gave me! The only negative was the original room we were in made a horrible noise but it was rectified and we were moved to a different room. I took a chance because the review suck. They accommodated an early check in and a late checkout for me. Everything was clean and tidy. They reminded me there would be a fine for smoking in the room but the room already smelled like smoke, as if it had previously been a smoking wing. Luckily we caught it when we left to go out, or the room would have been unlocked for someone to take our belongings. They switched it right away no hassles but then the new room wouldn't unlock, but they figured it out. Location is out if the way and the price doesn't reflect that. The staff were professionally aware of all the guests in the lobby and cafe Very comfortable king size bed. Courtyard was very well landscaped with beautiful plants and several hummingbirds. The shower head is adjustable for tall people The one thing I didnt like was the bottled water in the rooms. They appear to be complimentary The bed was the most comfortable bed I've slept on!
Also the price was great! Room was situated different than the norm with bed and layout. Not as noisy as other hotels. Clean for the most part! I did the hair test on the linens. My hair was there the next day untouched. Beds were comfy but I felt like there could be some replacement of the sheets daily. We travel with our dogs, so it is nice to find a good hotel that also allows pets at no extra charge. After check-in, the front desk staff gave us a call to see if the room was ok for us- how thoughtful!

Front desk personnel was very responsive to any inquiries I made. The hotel room was horrible. I was put into a suite due to a group staying at the hotel. When I first arrived, the room didn't have a remote for the tv, I looked throughout the room which is when I noticed a significant amount of hair in the bed sheets. The room also had a smell that was bothersome. I told the front desk and they were able to move me to another suite.
This room had a faucet that was about to fall off the sink and there was a stain in the bed sheet. Been staying there for work for a few months and it's been normally great but this was a bad night. Took a video of the hair just in case I am asked.
The size of the room was nice. I had an impression that it had a bedroom but it did not. It was big room for all 5 of us. It smelled like the room or the whole hotel allows some smoking at some point. Maybe the old carpet just holds the smell.
So I had to open the window and left it open for a while for better air quality. The door didn't lock. The never replace the Kleenex and the room. It was empty the whole time period.
