If you're only going to do one winery, do Sterling! This has a lovely view after you take the tram to the top. Unfortunately this was the highlight of the visit. It is all self-guided.
The wine was nothing memorable and it is very touristy. Do not go expecting someone to explain all the different wines and how they are made. It was not horrible but so many more fun and informative tours available. The wines are just ok whites better than reds , but even as snobby wine drinkers, we enjoyed the experience.
The views are incredible and breathtaking. The tour is self-guided and quite informative. You aren't talked to death by servers trying to sell you wine and instead left to just take it all in.
