Cocktails very much appreciated. Food was delicious and excellent. Ambience was eclectically buzzing Friday night. Service, although good - a little forgetful of immediate requests. We have sporadically tried unsuccessfully over the past few years to get a reservation at the Rose and Rock mostly because we tend to be last minute diners , so were pleased to finally get a table on Wednesday.

Having tried most of the restaurants in the area, we are pleased to say we have now found a local favourite. From the great, funky decor to the really good food and service it is a really good local offering- you know you're onto to a good thing when you spend ages agonising over what to order. We shall be booking again shortly for Round 2. The cocktails are to die for and the food is amazing, The ribs are the best I have ever tasted.
And thankyou for singing happy birthday to my daughter with a sparkler in her pudding. Rock and Rose Restaurant offers a warm welcome, un rushed service but promptly delivered course of very good food by well trained staff who do really value your custom. I might sound harsh, but after having had drinks there a few times, we decide to have dinner there too. Judging by the great cocktails we were expecting good food, but not maybe not the same standard as the drinks.
However we were wrong. The food was presented beautifully and tasted even better than it looked. Their baby back ribs fell of the bone. I was a little skeptical when booking this resturant as although it looks a fab place I've had experiences in the past where looks can be deceiving. Upon arrival we were seated promptly and our drinks order taken. The waiting staff were tentive and mindful that we wanted time before we ordered.
My only point is that although all in all the resturant was good, I did find it a little overpriced for a Monday night girls dinner, which my be due to the postcode Excellent ribs. Great service and ambience. We had a problem with the wine and within moments the young lady behind the bar agreed.
She disposed of the bottle and we were asked to choose another bottle. Now that is what I call good training! Will definitely return. Been here a few times now and every visit has been fantastic. The food is beautiful, the cocktails are splendid and the setting is very chic!! I am always trying to figure out a way to sneak the pink leather sofa out of the door!!
I cant recommend this place or the ribs more The booking was simple. The staff very friendly and attentive without being interfering. Amy in particular was amazing. She has a lovely way with customers and was always aware of when she was needed. I wish there was more for vegetarians being one as currently the choice is extremely limited. However, the restaurant, food and staff far outweigh the small number of options.
At lunch time the music is not overbearing although there were quite a few children and babies. The Sunday roast was very tasty - would have liked a little more green on the plate but all thoroughly delicious. Title says it all. Fun place. Service nothing special. Food poor. The restaurant clearly plays on its ambience. It was packed full - everyone having fun. Lots of mums on a night out with the girls!
This time and for the first time, however, one of the dishes was a real dissapointment. The risotto had no taste whatsoever. Very surprising as risotto is not complicted to make and some of their very fine dining dishes are just out of this world. We think this was an one off oversight and will be returning. Excellent restaurant with the experience always as good as the expectation.

The decor is fabulously eccentric and yet romantic. Service is friendly and efficient. The lunch offer, which this week included a deep fried squid dish to die for, is such good value and the choice is always difficult as they are all as good as each other!!! Beautifully glamourous decor, great cocktails, great food. I recommend the chicken San boy starter, the yeti cocktail, the peach cocktail and also the one containing chambord. Plus I really want to try one of those cocktails for two or four they look amazing!
The group had a really enjoyable time, I must say though that in comparison to previous visits then the services was much slower than normal. It could have been a lack of leadership or staff on the night though so could have been a one-off.

You should still go but I hope this issue was a one-off due to the staff just having a busy or understaffed night. A relaxed afternoon lunch with a friend, consistently good food with attentive and friendly service.
Can't wait to return yet again! We had a very enjoyable meal at the Rock and Rose. The food was very tasty and the staff were very attentive.
Atmosphere is great in this restaurant is really good, lots of fun. The ambiance, the food the ribs area my favorite and great service. I was unsure what sort of place this was - website looks a bit like a TV room designer's creation - but was pleasantly suprised. Good quality food, reasonably priced, and a nice variation. Very friendly and attentive waiters, once you got seated, but not rushed at all.

Good drinks - excellent caiparinhas. Very slow to get a drink when we arrived though. Also, it looked as though our table had been crammed into a vacant floor space and as a result was a little too busy, which cut down on the overall ambience. I would also have liked the music turned down just one notch - conversation around the table was at times a little difficult. So not a perfect score but will go back again and hope they have taken on board these points. Food good but small portion and overpriced.

She has a lovely way with customers and was always aware of when she was needed. Make sure to register and take advantage of all the products that the manufacturers are more than happy to send you a sample of.
Dining area overcrowded with limited space to move within own dinning area. Also difficult to get to toilets as minimum walking space between tables. Does not give freebie drnks or meals for special occassions or encourage return visit. We had a great table taken the fact that my baby sitter let me down last minute and my son was the only 3 year old of the night on a busy Friday, we had the perfect evening. Some new faces waiting, they were very friendly and attentive.
Just about a little bit too loud but the food and ambience get you in nicely. Seabass highly recommended! We'll see you soon. Fab service yet again! Thank you! Why bother going to London, this place simply rocks! The proprietor of this fine restaurant is a genius. You enter an establishment that is unique, vibrant, smart yet casual, with oustanding service and cuisine. It's worth noting if you want to drill down into the detail, that some Dweeb on a past review commented that the Creme Brulee was too runny, what total twaddle it was stunning, as was everything else, had Sea Bass and I would have eaten the plate given half a chance!
Wine was excellent too and very reasonable compared to London prices. Try the Chablis Premier Cru I went to Rock and Rose with two friends for my birthday last week. We booked the table for 8pm and were assigned a fabulous Canadian waiter who was exceptional. Unfortunately the management decided at 10pm to ask us to move to the bar, because they had some people waiting who needed a table. At no time was I told that there was a time limit on the table and we noticed that he wasn't asking anyone else.
Not sure if it was because we were three women that he thought we would be more approachable. He kept asking us until I complained. Apart from that we had a good evening.
