Coupon overage at cvs

CVS Coupon Policy

I hope this helps. I had several extra care bucks that had expired in the past. I called the and they sent me a new one to use. Thank you for all information. I hope It will go like this. You can use percent-off coupons on only sale items, but sometimes items are featured in the ad that are not on sale per se—they are regular price but you can earn ECBs in them.

It works with regular items only. But we will take manufacture coupons for clearance items all day.

CVS Coupon Policy Update

Look ladies, our computers have 3 levels of acceptance as shown to us by color. GREEN coupons, great, you followed all the rules, we hit apply. Not only that but the computer literally has no button for us to override it. Both stores I shop at on a pretty regular basis had signs posted at checkout and on the registers saying we accept no expired coupons of any type any longer, no exceptions! Other than that I cannot comment on the others possible changes. Bummer, the cashiers at my CVS have been talking about how happy they are with the new coupon policy.

I recently moved to a bigger city same state and thought my not so coupon-friendly experiences were just a result of living in the big city. I highly recommend doing this if you have any lying around! Lastly, only one Extra Care card transaction per person per day. If I go on my lunch break and then stop in for something after work, I expect my card to be accepted without any problems. For shame, CVS, for shame! I HATE being forced to go back to a store just to use my rewards.

I wonder if the one use per day is enforced. You can only do a specified number of deals to earn extra bucks for each card anyway.

Lucky you, my town have only 1 CVS store. I used to shop for me, my mom and my sister with their cards. Now the cashier wrote my card number down and told me that i can only shop with my card, my family have to come CVS to shop for themself. I have to put the stuff back and walked out of the store with empty hand, so frustrated , This is very weird and meant. I am very upset, because I pick up the medicals for all my family with their CVS cards, too with no problem. Can I call customer service to complaint about this? I know we can shop for older people or somebody to hard to get out of the house or working….

What should I do to get help with this problem? Any advices? Please, help me. Thank you very much. I was able to use both my card and my sister-in-law card yesterday no problem. I ask why it turn red if I met the requirements. This depends completely on the cashier.

CVS - IN-STORE - NEW COUPON POLICY?!? 😡 - Meek’s Coupon Life

CVS is stopping people who have multiple cards for the sole purpose of trying to beat the system. Oh well…….. Are you forgetting to use the ECBs before they expire? I have a grocery store that accepts expired coupons up to a month past expiration. I always expect the bottom to drop out of that, so I try use coupons that have expired as soon as I realize they are expired.

That is so frustrating. Idk what that was about but the barcodes were clearly not all the same! I was told the same thing. I asked if this meant Extrabucks and coupons from the CVS website and the cashier confirmed that it did. The cashier pushed it through, but like we discussed it was obviously for that product…so what is next in that case? And they ask that I give them all my ECBs at the beginning before I even know the total after coupons. AFA giving bucks first, that has been that way at my stores for at least a year now. The way the register is programmed, they cannot accept any coupons after they press the total button, otherwise they have to void and start over.

Its part of the reason WHY the new policy is taking effect. The computer calculates all non-sale items. Roxy, You are so right. I have same problem that to many ECBs expired because my CVS store always ran out of the stuffs that on sale in the weekly ad. I always have asked for rainchecks when they are out of something and they normally will write on it if you got ecbs with the offer.

I also clip the ad that goes with that raincheck to the back of it for clarification. Works great; they never expire! The changes CVS has made since the first of the year has made it more difficult to coupon, and cashiers are increasingly inclined to make up their own rules. It seems CVS is trying to make up their lost cigarette revenue by restricting coupon use: I strongly recommend shopping at a different location.

The good stores with great staff are still around; you just need to drive a little farther. You efforts will be rewarded. I LOVE cvs and hope they will continue to work with customers. CVS has become very annoying and I find myself going there less and less. Why companies are cracking down on coupons is beyond me, but have they not seen the economy? We have to keep to our budgets at least I do. Agree with Kim B. CVS used to be my favorite but the latest group of employees at my favorite location act like the money is theirs not CVS corporate. They refuse coupons all the time.

The send to card coupons never work. I miss the old CVS! I shop on Aug. I use expire CVS coupons and they took them no problem. I will be going in tomorrow and well see what happens. I shopped yesterday and did not encounter any issues. I did have one app only coupon that did not work, but she told me that it was not working for others. We will see, but I agree that we can not blame the stores in full for changing their polices, as many times I have seen folks trying to get away with coupon fraud.

It makes me sad as I spend my time and energy on ensuring when I get to the register I have all my coupons inline with what I am purchasing. I find most stores are appreciative of this and will help you out. For those stores that give me a hard time, I just choose to shop at another store or not at all.

Good luck to everyone on this newest change.

CVS Pharmacy coupons (ExtraCare® coupons and other store-issued in our retail stores subject to our CVS Pharmacy coupon policy and as required by state . CVS stores accept the following types of coupons: 1. to get a new cashier and you can prepare yourself for the beep if you know that you will have an overage.

My local CVS store manager tried to explain the changes to me a week or so ago and he was confused. Makes me wonder what other couponers have been doing. People photocopy coupons all the time!

For example: I thought ECB is a form of tender…. That always happened before the policy change. He cancelled the coupon and gave it back. This happened to me too before i realized. I was wondering how the heck my math was not adding up right. That is correct. As well as cotton balls and qtips. But since I paid with my extra bucks, no discount was given. Cotton balls and qtips were not on sale. Had this same issue about a month ago.

I said, I thought Extra Bucks we like cash. Hope this helps in planning for your future trips. No ecb are a coupon. The percent off is after the ecb. Money cards are a form of payment. Ecbs are just coupons. Supervisor at a cvs trying to eleviate some of the confusion. It was expired over 30 days like 45 days expired. The CVS manager took it with no problem. Again, some managers might make an exception. If you have and expired ECB, give it a try. They just might take it. Good luck.

Dollar store toothpaste comes from overseas. Not so with drugstore toothpaste! I never knew they accepted expired Extrabucks!

CVS Coupon Policy Update - The Krazy Coupon Lady

Companies have a set amount of time after the expiration date to submit the coupons to the manufacturer for reimbursement. They are still getting reimbursed for that coupon, just as if it were not expired. I often use expired coupons even though I have unexpired ones in my binder. There are worse things to worry about than a drug store coupon policy.

Some of you act entitled. Extrabucks expire just like other coupons do. Use them or lose em. This is a bit harsh, but i was kind of thinking the same thing… The coupons DO expire. You dont use, you lose. True dat, Nick. ECB print with an expiration date for a reason. I have had them expire before and it never crossed my mind to see who I could call to see if I can get credit for something that I let expire. They change their policies because some take everything to the extreme.

However it only removed a total of. The cashier told me it was because I paid with Extra bucks and the remaining balance was only. I have never seen those coupons work that way at all…. Just wondering if I missed a change somewhere along the way? Ugh CVS has been off my radar for a long time now… I could get great savings but it was just too much of a hassle with 2 small kids and no home printer. I find I can stock up on household products with much less difficulty at a similar price point if I wait for a sale.

Stores are making couponing so complicated that I have stopped shopping at stores which have delayed rewards, such as Walgreens and CVS. I can do much better with just digital, paper, and ibotta-type discounts and there are no bad surprises at checkout! I went to redeem a coupon from my phone that in the past CVS used to scan.

I was informed of the new policy that I needed to print the birthday coupon and then make my purchase. Walgreens is my go to store better coupons and gain money in the process. Today I spent CVS has never taken mobile coupon offers.

Do CVS Allow Overage?

That is ridiculous! My percent off coupons have always said not valid on sale items. CVS just lost a ton of my business! No longer is it like getting cash for a future transaction. What are you talking about? I think I went there to get signed up for rewards, which I got after that purchase, but unable to use it because I forgot about it. If not for prescription drugs, what else people buy there? Expensive, unless you combine coupons and EB and sale items, which seems like you cannot do now. I did without a problem. They scanned fine but once the cashier typed the price, they did not go through the system.

This is absolutely ridiculous and I would recommend not shopping at CVS anymore until they wise up. Well, well, well…so this is how it went down today.

I am as thirty as they come. However, sometimes the register can be a bit finiky. The register froze so moved to another register. Hi Mel. Thank you. It is about time. Seriously, no one excepts expired coupons, why should they?

I love that you can only use one card per day. There is a group of women that shop in my area that have stacks of cards.

They clear the shelves, usually on Saturday night when the new ad goes live. Now they can. Gives more people a chance to get the sale items. Now if Kroger would only do the same thing. I got home and looked at my receipt and they used it on only one item and it was the lowest priced item I purchased. What did you purchase? Maybelline, Garnier Cleansers, Listerine and it took off the correct amount I had calculated before getting to the register to pay.

The 2 stores close to my house never took expired EBs, even if they were only a day after expiration. The Beauty Advisors are very helpful and if a coupon beeps, they do not mind taking them as long you are buying the right product.

RE: Do CVS allow overage?

Can I use multiple coupons on sale items? I never know for sure which way it's going to be. Thinking about it and the 2nd cashier was new and the 1st cashier was training him but she wasn't by him at the moment. Maybe they apply overage to an order at my store and he didn't know. Who knows.
