I work very hard, long, stressful hours, and don't get to take vacation much, so I am perfectly okay with just a relaxing quiet vacation. But, I'm also single and still relatively young, so I can also party and throw down at a resort or near the beach. I also love to eat good food, so a vacation with delicious food is a big plus. I could be interested in seeing some culture and museums and what not thought about going to D. I enjoy camping, but i do a lot of weekend camping and I'm trying to do something a little different this time.
And, I love to eat when I travel, and, camping is the opposite of going out to eat. I have never traveled much, and am open to most any ideas. This is my first real vacation is seven years, so I'm trying to make the most of it. What I'm really looking for is some advice on where to find last minute travel deals. And, obviously, I know how to do a Google search, but I'm trying to get some human advice. And, my real problem is that most of these sites try to push couples trips or family trips.
I can't even find any of my friends who can take the whole two weeks off and travel with me, so I'm definitely going solo. And, honestly, I'm a little skeptical of the "singles" cruises and resorts that I've seen advertised. What I've read about seems a little too extreme for my taste, but, if I could find a good deal it might be an interesting trip. And anyway, most of the prices for those types of places are extremely high this close to departure date.
I would expect prices to be way lower if they're trying to fill empty spots.
And most of the vacations this close to the departure date are weekend vacations, or two day outings, and I'm looking for something a little more engrossing. I thought about going to Hawaii. I thought about Colorado. I thought about New York. I thought about the Caribbean.

And, most of my camping gear is too run-down for a two week excursion, so I'd have to spend hundreds of dollars to get new equipment, and I might as well spend that money on a new experience.
So, I've got a week to decide, two weeks to do it, and no good ideas! I can just as easily leave from New Orleans or Atlanta. I have a passport, a fairly flexible budget, there's nobody traveling with me, and am willing to fly or drive. Or take a bus. Even though it will be the school holidays, these are such diverse countries, you could easliy escape the touristy family resorts and have a cracking good time. Even going this close to your departure there should still be plenty of accommodation to suit all budgets You'd probably love the UK Or the islands off the coast of Thailand.
