Lots of good places to eat. Go there every year. I arrived late there was 3 people at the counter but only one was checking in people. There was a really long line so I waited forever! When I did get my key it was to the wrong room that had people already in there! If they limit the talking and work more they can check in faster! I feel bad for the one poor lady checking everyone in alone while her coworkers stand there. Being in Myrtle Beach during the off season had its benefits with low rates and minimal traffic.
The two state parks were really pretty and had interesting historical features as well as beach access. Captain George's Seafood Buffet was easily the best food and value in town. And Dino's Pancake house was so good. Eggs Benedict with Lox! The best part of the hotel is Gloria. She was our housekeeper and she made our stay better by being so sweet and making sure everyday that we had what we needed. Room has a great view and it was on the far end so it even felt like a private balcony. The lazy river had a nice current but the other pool was great too. My 6 year old son loved it!
Great for kids nothing deeper than 4ft. And if you are a return guest you get a discount on your next stay that's a nice perk. The location is right on the beach. Everyone on staff was Wonderful!!!!!. I have a service animal that is 18 years old. They were Very Very nice to us..
I would like to make this my 1 choice when i am in Myrtle Beach. The hotel is on the beach and it's a beautiful beach with warm water. Our suite was very well equipped with everything you need. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean and spacious. We booked a sunset room and that's exactly what we got. We stayed in a triple bedroom with 3 bedrooms and 2 baths ,which was very large and comfortable.
It was very reasonable for the price. Our children could sleep on their own beds, who sleeps on a sofa bed in a usual trip. Indoor pool is located on the 1st floor of the hotel. It is easy to access. A laundry unit was equipped in the room. Beachfront so you are just steps away from the ocean. Wifi worked great even on the beach if you stay close to the hotel.
It was surprisingly quiet even though our room was across from the pool area. The beds were very comfortable. Kitchenette was small but with a full size fridge. Staff was welcoming and friendly. Comfortable beds and bedrooms were separated to allow kids their own space. Wonderful views from the oceanfront condo and fantastic amenities pools,hot tubs etc Second visit and will definitely come back.
Great location in NMB. The hotel was wonderful Great location and very comfortable. We were a family of 5 in a suite and it was wonderful. Located directly on the beach with a beautiful lawn area to watch children. I will be visiting again. I loved the hotel's location, I loved how close it was to stores, and Broadway on the Beach, I loved the oceanfront view, the hotel is on the strip and I love that because you can walk to the fun things to do. Close to shopping and dining. A little issues with the elevators, but still worth the stay.

Thank you South Bay Inn for awesome service! This is a nice renovation, much nicer than other hotels on the strip. I found the hotel more appealing as a single traveller than others that are full of kids. Nice warm pools too! And no funky hotel smells. That is was right on the beach like literally. The evening supervisor was great and very helpful. I was in the middle of North and South Myrtle Beach so it was just a few miles left of right to everything. Staff was very good it was in the middle of location we were looking North and South for our new home in Myrtle Beach.
I will give five stars for the maintenance guy Richard. The room was comfortable, and clean. The hotel is right on the beach with easy access. The main door is locked after hours for added security. Everything This little hotel was fantastic so clean large rooms right on the beach I can not wait to come back. I loved the location right on the beach and the hotel is perfect for kids. It was clean and right on the beach, and pet friendly!!! Great staff all around. My boys enjoyed the indoor pool, really came in handy when it rained.
I enjoyed the pool bar. The next I am going to request a pool side view instead of a balcony part ocean view. Check in was smooth, front desk staff Caitlin was very helpful when we requested a higher room. She above and beyond. Overall staff was extremely professional and helpful. Fantastic facility for families. I've been telling friends about the hotel. Everything, The closeness to the beach, the property in a whole.
