Usual hibachi place but nothing special. Expensive for this experience. Have loved KiKu since it opened. The hibachi is great and I believe the best sushi in Naperville. Outstanding food and excellent service as usual. We keep coming back as this is the best hibachi style restaurant in the suburbs by far! Highly recommended. We had Solomon as our cook and he was amazing.
He showed us things we have never seen before. We love this place but there tends to be the same show.
Not this time!!! He was wonderful!!! Seemed like to portions were larger than last time also. My favorite place. It was my birthday and noted on the reservation. Waited an additional 20 minutes for table. Table right by hibachi tables where a big very loud party was going on. No acknowledgement of the special occasion and server was very quick to turn the table.
We used to really like Kiku. As always, wonderful food and service! Great for the whole family! Loved it.

Great food. Several of us thought so! Food quality and service was lacking compared to many previous visits. Taylor was fantastic and our chef was as well. I went for my birthday with my hubby and kids 7 and 3. Dined hibachi tableside. I had hibachi filet and scallops, hubby had hibachi garlic shrimp and scallops, and my 7 yo had hibachi ninja chicken from the kids menu.
All were excellent. For my 3 yo I ordered the chicken tender like appetizer which he devoured. He also sampled the soup, scallops, shrimp, veggies, and a bit of the sushi! Hubby and I also had a couple sushi rolls. The special Scorpion Roll was the best we have had aside from our honeymoon in Hawaii. The chocolate lava cake for my birthday was a pleasant and appreciated surprise.
Thanks for giving this exhausted mom a fun, delicious, and entertaining night out We went with a large group of 16 family members and had two connected cooking areas. The chefs and wait staff were attentive and had fun with us. Overall- highly impressed! Excellent dining experience. Jose was our chef and what a great presentation he gave us. Always delicious!!
I have been going there since it opened!! Bartender was a blast and our our waitress was outstanding. Food is best around! Service is friendly and helpful! Awesome experience! We love to go to KiKu for birthdays and holidays. The food and service is always wonderful.
We enjoy talking to other guests at our hibachi table too.
