The midway was full on with entertainment and we had lots of photo ops with different monsters. Lines were long but did move quickly. Ringmaster was unique with an indoor and outdoor maze and clowns scaring you. Abyss was completely dark with a lot of twists and turns and the corn maze, which is our personal favorite, had psychopaths pursuing us. Had a great time and looking forward to return soon.

Fear Farm haunt spreads about square feet and features three creepy mazes. The school bus was a good idea. The fog room was really horrible. The clowns gave us some nice scares on the way… My favourite was the Escape Room. The Ring Master Circus Academy appeals to kids. The props, effects as well as lighting arrangements were great.

The characters involved in The Abyss really frightened me. Actors all did a great job. I am planning to bring my family next time. I visited the Fear Farm for the first time in my life and I can say what a great scare it has been! I have never ever been in a haunted house. The chainsaw was more terrifying and I also noticed a guy who chased me out and I ran for my life. It was all so much fun. The actors were so scary and spooky that I thought I lost my breath for a second.

Overall, it was such a lovely experience that I would always return whenever I get time. The best of which I enjoyed was the one which had Witches.

But to be honest, all the themes were well set and planned and they were all very good. Everything including the ambiance, the costumes, and the jump scares was perfect. I recommend you all to visit this place. Navigating through the twist and turns of The Abyss was a bit confusing, not to mention the terrors awaiting you at every corner. The riddles and the clues of the Escape Fear Farm escape room would leave you scratching your brains. We worked as a team to get out just before the time ended. It was great fun nevertheless. The parking was free.

The entrance fee was affordable too We went again this year in and it gets even better every year! We drive from Charlotte every year to go this haunted house and it is well worth the drive!

Johnston County locals and visitors have been traveling to Clayton to experience hayrides and haunted houses at Boyette's for many Autumns now. A recent conversation with owner Anna Boyette revealed all the things that the Clayton Fear Farm, Boyette's business name for their Fall activities, has planned for the season, starting the first weekend in October this weekend. Boyette went on to mention that Hurricane Florence damaged a portion of the corn maze, which will still be open but will be much abbreviated from previous years.

While there is no age restriction enforced at Clayton Fear Farm, Boyette recommends the scarier stuff at night for 13 years old and up.

That's not to say that the evening Fear Farm hours are for all adults either. Truthfully, the fear factor of each part of the farm depends not on how scary Boyette's makes their haunted horror attractions, but how afraid you are of certain things. You can pick your poison.

A day time ticket gets you onto the farm for the day.
