The two 2 LED lights are bright enough to illuminate immediate surroundings. Practical for finding items atound the car, searching in a handbag, through the glove box, and facilitating key insertion at night.
It fits perfectly in sub-compact and full-size door frames. The rubber grip is a nice touch.
Can also serve as an arm rest while catching one's breath and repositioning the passenger with limited or challenged mobility, while still sitting. As a plus, it can serve as a a handle to help lift the passenger from a sitting position as there is enough space in the handle opening for two 2 hands: Make sure to instruct the passenger to always push downward on the assemby when inserted inside the door buckle, not lifting upwards, as the unit will come out easily from the door frame buckle.
Can easily be placed in a handbag or large coat pocket to carry around with the user.
A must item to facilitate vehicle entry and exit. I think the one thing I really disliked the most about this product was the gouges the metal piece left on my car when my 98 lb father tried to use it to exit my vehicle. The handle is also about twice the size it really needs to be to do the job. Because of the size it's difficult to find a place to store it when not in use. A good idea overall but when actually put to use, it was a disappointment. It makes it so much easier for my dad to get out of the car with a bit more independence. I'm thinking there are days even now when I can use it to make my life a bit easier as well, even though I'm a young senior.
For anyone who sometimes struggles a bit to find leverage to lift yourself out, I can't say enough about this wonderful gadget. One person found this helpful. Wow, I was having trouble with exiting my car and standing up straight once I did so. Since my purchase of this portable handle coupled with the rotating seat I also purchased, getting out of my car is so much easier. So if you are having a problem like I was. Was surprised with the extra couple of Got this for a family member who has problems getting in and out of the car.
It is well made, and becomes very handy. The light on it is also pretty bright. Was surprised with the extra couple of features this had, and is an added bonus. Would highly recommend this to anyone. I normally don't write reviews but because Amazon asked me three times, I will. I purchased this for my 75 year old father who saw it on a commercial. He said he needed it because it's getting harder and harder getting in and out of his car. They claimed that it would fit all cars, but that's not true. My parents have a Ford Focus. It did not fit in his car, so i decided to try it in mine Dodge Journey and my 2 sisters' cars Cobalt and Mazda 3 and it fit there.
We didn't return it because there are times where he'll be driven in our cars, but he was disappointed that it didn't fit his car. I bought this to assist my elderly mother and she found it helped her get in and out of my car.

It is a little wobbly but it will never come out of where you place it but it did concern my mother that it may come out. Fantastic device for those that need some stability getting out of the vehicle. Very well built and like the fact that it comes with a light which is very useful for night time.
