Careful - they will burn you at the stake for any remotely negative comment or review. Gee makes me wonder with all those votes just how many times can employees and owners vote in an 8 hour shift. If you think making up lies about other places will bring more people to YOUR place.. I made the mistake of bringing my concern to the attention of the owner who was there, Manya. But when i'm at my job, just like anyone else, i'm extremely friendly towards customers and in my belief that's exactly why we have the same repeat customers coming back week after week, sometimes times a week! To fix their mistake, they decided to give us the two lanes directly in front of the entrance and threw a buffet table with no chairs behind the lanes. Paying customer

Just arrogant and unprofessional. We'll be advising all our friends to hold there birthday parties elsewhere. What an awful experience at the Wallingford Bowling alleys! Fun place to bowl and the ladies room was spotless and bright with a changing table for my baby. We will be back, nice people! Same Old Garbage. Wallingford Bowl is just awful. Smelly restrooms and a dirty bowlers area - I mean just look at those nasty tiles in the bowlers area that they put used seats on.

Looks like they haven't been cleaned or washed since the old TBowl days. While I agree their mechanic may be an idiot, at least he doesn't spell the word "lousy" like an uneducated inbred hill billy. I Think the Mechanic Guy Is an idiot. He's rude and obnoxious. He has long dandruff hair in which he hasn't cleaned in many years. And he also looks like a beaver with his buck teeth.

He probably hasn't been to the dentist in ages. And he also thinks he's a great bowler. I think he's lowsy. I think this place needs a complete revamp. Bowling Haus. I bowled my first league at Wallingford Bowl this summer. There was no air conditioning the entire summer, and the place is nasty dirty which fits the attitudes of the people behind the control desk. If anyone is looking to bowl there this fall, be smart and go to any other center in the area. A few smart leagues already left and others should follow. I guess they have no pride or moral commitment to either bowling or the USBC memmbers they are supposed to support.

Wallingford Bowl is a total disaster, and anyone writing anything positive must be related to the owners. Bottom line, the place looks like it's ready to close their doors, and it would be a great time to do so. Thanks for the info. Was wondering why the staff and customers were acting strangely.

Hi I work at Wallingford Bowl, and I'm always looking for a good time. I tend to lie alot, mostly about my sexual orientation. I tend to waddle when I walk because it was rough the night before. Just don't ask me to help you out with anything because I'm too immature to handle my job unless it has to do with gay sexual pleasure. If you take your kids to Wallingford Bowl, be sure to always keep them in your sight. I was told that one of the managers is a registered sex offender. From the other reviews that I have read about this place, this doesn't surprise me.

League member not for long. Paying customer Don't bother going to the Wallingford Bowl, the people who work there can't be bothered dealing with customers. If you ask for something like a lane or something from the bar , it's like you're bothering them. If you're dissatisfied, too bad - you'll be told that nobody is forcing you to be there, so you can leave if you want. But that's what happens when you have a bunch of under-educated family members trying to run a business. Man ya is a complete monster - even without the makeup! Bob Villa. Bouncing lanes can be fixed with a few 10" lag bolts.

Yeah ok So that oil machine that works so well and is the best in the area broke down last Monday night right before our league. We were delayed 45 minutes! But keep telling yourselves there is nothing wrong with it I think not..

Its real sad to watch some of the self proclaimed house heroes shoot numbers at you. I not sure if bob the builder installed the new lanes but they still bounce. They actually bounce higher now. End of discussion. The pattern on the right side of the lanes does not hold up. The lanes were replaced and bounce more than they did before. No one is going to be sad when this place closes. So you're saying Vin is only high average because he's a Lefty?? Get a clue. Those guys are amazing bowlers and have done incredibly well in any house they bowl at.

When you have someone averaging you have to say to your self. This is something special. This isn't because of a pattern. Patterns break down. And to be consistently striking like that is a compliment to how well the pattern holds up and how great the bowler adjusts to it. The machine is old yes! But it works perfectly fine and puts down one of the best shots around here.

As a bowler I'll say it's better then the 3 nearest houses. Moron - the last NEBA a lefty won - in fact it was two lefties bowling in the finals. The one before that a righty won, then two lefties. The winning team on the Monday night league had the high average bowler - a lefty! What are you smoking Manya??? Oh yeah - that machine works fine The last 2 neba winners threre were righties. The lane machine works fine. Colonys was much older till they just got a new one. So go play in traffic, hater.

Those idiots at Wallingford just shim them on the left because that lane machine is so antiquated. They said it was our fault and that we were throwing the ball incorrectly. Then low and behold the lanes were replaced. Further embarass yourselves. Glad to hear you had a good time!! I've been bowling or even just watching my dad bowl at T-Bowl since I was born. It really is night and day, glad the wood lanes are gone!

Went here two weeks ago for the first time since the 90's when it was the old T-Bowl. The difference is night and day! I remember bowling in leagues here on poor lanes. I was also bowling at Colony and Hamden at the same time--which were always better than T-Bowl. That said, I've got to be honest: Too bad it wasn't like this when it was T-Bowl, but I'll be back again. So apparently the lanes didn't bounce yeah Hopefully they don't screw it up again Let's face it - this place cuts corners left and right.

Well maybe not on the left that's why the lefties strike not stop there. Even if they borrowed Colony's new machine the clowns at Wallingford would manage to screw it up somehow and create a super tunnel on the left. Too bad the roof didn't cave in from the snow Another lefty fest at the counties this year - way to go Wallingford! Oil machine was broken on the first week screwing up the lanes on the right side. Typical of this dump. Bouncing lanes, NO oil on the right, and a wall on the left side just look at the scores from that joke of a league on Monday nights.

The worst lane conditions in the state! Yes the county tournament is there again-lets see what happens. And Manya has gotten huge! The county tournament is at this dump again. Again lefties will dominate at this dump since they can't fix the bounce or oil lanes. I predict a lefty will win the singles, they will win doubles, and a team with at least lefties will win the team event. Unfortunately Manya is still there. Nastier than ever now that she is trying to quit smoking and has put on several pounds.

Is that nasty woman still running the place?? I don't understand how you could own a business and have people working there who could care less. The place is dirty, the woman's bathroom was not working and smelled. The staff at the desk was not helpful at all. They where sitting in the back the entire time. Once I was there and they were all bowling and we had to wait at the desk to pay for another game. They don't run any specials at all. The price of bowling is not cheap anymore and one would think that when business is slow you would want to generate people to come in and spend some money.

The only person that was helpful was the person working the snack bar which was great when I wanted something to drink. Gary in the pro shop is awesome. Too bad the rest of the staff is not like that. Maybe the owners should care a little more!!!!! I was just reading the posts on this site and it seems someone is really trying to make this place look bad. I was there last Thursday and the place is great.

PU does this place stink!!! You really need to hire a cleaning company for a complete overhaul.

Why all the complaints about the bounce, everyone seems to be scoring well. One of the highest scoring houses I have bowled in. Lefty Paradise. The ones that score well there are the lefties. It is ridiculously easy on the left side - even with the bounce. I heard some poor senior citizen got injured at the center recently.

Apparently the ball bounced up from the lane and hit the women in the knee. Such a tragedy. Does anyone know when the all you can bounce specials are? Is this that dirty place on route 5 that used to go by the name T-Bowl then Bowler Land? If so, I can't believe it is still open. Place was a total pig sty and the lanes were still garbage. The worst center in town. Dirty, disgusting and the nastiest employees in the world. Just shut this dump DOWN!! HELLO you are league bowlers.

Not even a fake one by the owners. What happened did Manya's computer break? This place is ok. The shot is a lefties dream. Colony is still better and cleaner in my opinion. I think there must be one person with an axe to grind doing all the negative comments. Maybe a fired ex-employee? A competitor?

I don't know who, but it's plain crazy. You probably wrote the last two comments to try and make Wallingford look like the victim. Or maybe someone is giving you a taste of your own medicine??? That's funny because the industrial league bowls on tuesday night. Busy - ha! So busy they needed to close Monday nights in the summer? Keep smoking that crack We are happy at Colony Lanes and plan on staying there. The only thing I hear about Wallingford Bowl is how bad the lanes bounce. They are busy with leagues, and better than Colony.

You can't get into thier parking lot most nights. What exactly is going on at Wallingford?

I agree - it's the owners who need to pull their heads out of their butts. The center has been open for 2 years now - if they are still in the rebuilding phase then there are major problems at Wallingford Bowl. Hopefully the other owners will smarten up before it's too late and realize Manya is dragging the place down with her antics. According to them they are done with rebuilding I don't think it everyone else who needs to be pulling their heads of anywhere, I think its the owners. The place is not going to last, just like all the other "Mom and Pop's" BTW how much actual time is there in an eternity?

I love coming on this page! So much trash talking and back and forth. The owners are hilarious with their comments and bogus reviews. What's the deal with votes anyway? Someone must really not like this place to spend that kinda time grinding out votes. My team is moving to Amity next year and a few others are joining us. We can't wait! Want to know the reason why we're moving? Manya - enough said!!!! The woman is just down right nasty and shouldn't be running the place. The parking lot is packed the rest of the week, go look!

My league fills this place on Friday nights- It's an awesome house, good desk, clean, Can't wait for the season. They have karaoke after league on Friday nights. There is nothing negative to say, makes me think someone has a grudge. Gotta love coming to this section of the message board.

Well it sounds like an owner of an independant house drowning in debt over an investment that went wrong and bashing another business to make theirs look better. This place still looks the same as it did when I bowled the Jr. Monday night after driving by both centers about 7: Perhaps not open? Must be those great bouncy lanes they got there.

Desk staff not being intelligent sounds like you have a personal ax to grind. Was your butt not kissed properly when you went there. You must have a pretty good job to be paying WB's prices OR are you still cleaning their toilets and bragging about Amity? Too much oil? Your joking right? The fact is this is a very good center, and the Sunday special is awesome Wallingford Bowl is an awesome center to bowl in.

The staff is nice and everyone is professional. They take care of their leagues pretty well. Super Bowl lanes is so out dated and you get this feeling that you are bowling in a junkyard. They do have a great pro shop, But the people working the desk are not too intelligent. They have so much oil on their lanes, I think they own their own gas station.

I like lanes with much less oil because you are actually bowling rather than throwing the bowl anywhere down the lanes and getting a strike. Thats what they call competitive bowling. You will definitely enjoy Wallingford Bowl. That is a first. The problem with Wallingford, besides the lane bounce, is that they try to overcompensate for the lane bounce by creating a wall to the pocket.

That is not what I call competitive bowling. Why not just fix the problem the lane bounce and put out a legitimate shot? Seems like they cater to the once a year bowler instead of those somewhat competitive league bowlers. Is that fat and nasty old woman,still running the place? She is the rudest and nastiest person I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with.

As for the other comment s just how much money does a pinsetter generate when its off and nobody is using it? And they probably didnt make enough to pay the electric they used for that! If they did make money, then they are overcharging everybody when you pay regular rates!! Thats tough to beat even for these guys Oh brother here we go with the conspiracy theories again.

Who is in Wallingford Bowl's grassy knoll? Who really cares about the votes anyway. All 88 thousand votes proves is that someone is very bored and realized that all you have to do is hit the back button on your web browser to vote again. Allthough someone must hate this place a lot to spend the time hammering out all those votes. Its just silly. Please remember the stars and votes are since the inception of this website. It does not start over with new ownership. The rating here goes back to the T-Bowl era. It does not just represent the rating for Wallingford Bowl as it is now.

Probably didn't hurt as much as Wallingford's did from writing lies and trash about every center in CT. Can they add a new category for lane bounce? I would gladly vote a 5 for it. To imply that the center itself or the owners are behind this is laughable. Any fool can see that Thats more than all the center votes for Connecticut and New York combined!! Who are they kidding. I bowl here Tuesday nights-my league moved from Colony last year and we couldn't be happier- the lies written about Wallingford are outrageous, you cant find a better place all around. Chipello is the wannbe pro posting all the comments on the Superbowl lanes board mostly about himself though Whoever it is, it is ONE person for sure-and he is a snake. A WB League Bowlers. The JoeyBagofCrap is Chippelo for all of you in the loop that cant figure that out. He, along with his buddies at Amity and Colony can't figure out why the flip those centers, along with his game and cleaning company are in the pits. I bowl a couple leagues at Wallingford Bowl and I can say a couple of things. The lanes do NOT bounce any more i didnt know they ever did The SweetHeart and county tournaments have gone on with no complications or complaints.

This place has several successful leagues, none of which have been rumored to move out of the house. This can not be said for Circle, Amity or Colony. I personally have nothing against any other house, but I am trying to clear up things about Wallingford Bowl. I bowled league at Hamden, and this is where my leagues are now, and are quite happy to have moved here.

Hard to believe and pitiful for whoever is doing it. I can't believe these comments! This place is OK - but the Colony Lanes down the street is much nicer and the employees are a lot friendlier. I definitley agree it's the losers at Colony writing the trash. Unforgettable fun for kids. Easy to plan for parents. Party professionals to help with everything!
