Four years ago, his popular theater-district eatery Bond 45 faced its final curtain. The landlord at W. He sadly lost the trattoria he had filled with Art Deco flourishes and his own art collection that evoked the Times Square of the s. But today, the new Bond 45 — at W. Customers are delighted by the sight of Broadway performers who might pop in on any day or night. Celebs gravitate to nine cozy leather booths on a slightly raised section behind the bar. They mingle with a 7 a. Like every restaurateur, Fireman has had flops like the short-lived Florian on Park Avenue South as well as long-running hits.
His Bond 45 masterstroke was to find a location on a block that has three large Broadway houses, with nearly 6, seats. Fireman signed a year lease for the new Bond 45 in the historic Hotel Edison in The Edison has the charms of an Art Deco, vintage property — but also its physical challenges. The chicken in my chicken Alfredo was gummy and overcooked. It was ice cream and it was gritty with chunks of ice crystals -- like the worst of the back of the grocery store freezer case. I would think this food was worth it if it was half price Applebee's. We had a wonderful evening at Bond 45!
The food was great, the noise level perfect for good conversation. One of the highlights though was the terrific staff -- we ate early, but stayed for at least 2 hours chatting, laughing and enjoying the lights on the harbor. The staff was welcoming and gracious! The chicken parm was just terrific, a pizza size, feeds four, plate of yum! My wife and I both ordered the 8 oz. The steaks were cooked precisely to medium; had a great flavor; and were very tender.
The parmesan mashed potatoes and the onion rings were both done well. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. Bond 45 is a bit on the expensive side, but if you want fine dining of this caliber you can expect to pay for it. I asked for a quiet table by the window and got it! The food the stake was good not special for the money. The kale and spinach salad was excellent. I would not serve the onion ring which was heavily breaded and the mashed potatoes tasteless with the stake!
Really nice and birthday presentation was right on and different. Our server was excellent!! The service and meal was excellent. Chicken parm was exceptional. Great place for a good steak, also great view of national harbor. Catering to an audience of video gamers due to magfest weekend at national harbor bond did a great job of maintaining good service and dignity for other diners. I do wish that we had more bread to begin with, but overall very enjoyable! Wonderful food and service.
Entertaining out of town guests and requested table with a view. Bond 45 was able to do so and provided a delicious dinner and relaxing evening.
Small seating area facing the water was great. Service was good, the food was about average for the National Harbor area, and pricey. Two 8 oz filets, two drafts, no appetizers, one side and one desert Great time for New Years! Waiter was very nice and professional.
We always come here for special occasions. The staff is amazing and the food always soooooo delicious. I had the most amazing scallops with an incredibly buttery risotto. Just an outstanding experience! My wife and I went to Bond 45 on our wedding anniversary. We were literally treated like royalty. Raymond was our waiter and he was attentive with being obsequious. The assistant general manager, John Edwards checked in with us several times with free champagne and cheesecake The New York strip steak was one of the best steaks I've ever had.

I suspect our original waiter was getting off duty while another was taking over his tables. Each of us tried different entrees and each was exceptional. We went to Bond The meatballs tasted like freezer. The assistant general manager, John Edwards checked in with us several times with free champagne and cheesecake The New York strip steak was one of the best steaks I've ever had.
