I never had an issue getting a chair at the beach or the pool. The gym is large, well equipped and well maintained. The staff all over the resort are very friendly, you can stop and ask anyone for directions or even to help if you need something. One evening I wanted to go in the Jacuzzi by the main pool and the towel bars by the pool were already closed and the towel racks were empty.
I saw a random staff walking around and asked him for a towel. He went out of his way and found one for me. The resort is well maintained, you can see staff at all hours of the day cleaning. One night I noticed staff cleaning and sterilizing the chairs by the pool. I guess that should be a given, but it did impress me that it was actually being done.
I had read some reviews of people complaining about the food and was pleasantly surprised as I thought the food was very good. For dinner, my favourite was the Japanese restaurant called Silk. I ate 2 nights there. I also went to the Japanese restaurant one night at the NowOnyx resort next door and that was excellent. Coquette deserves a mention as it too was very good. For lunches, I did have the Xhale upgrade and went to that restaurant most days for lunch and always had a good meal.
Burgers, pizza etc. Staff in all the restaurants are friendly and accommodating. They get whatever you want and modify to suit your taste. Yes, I stayed in Xhale club and Glin made my trip even better, but I did meet people who said they enjoyed the resort without Xhale…. This level of service was outstanding.

It was a pleasure to host you, Breathless Punta Cana is your home, and we look forward to welcoming you back anytime. This was our 4th trip in 5 months at an AM resort. Great weather and overall had a great time. The week went slow and enjoyed every minute. All I can say is Punta Cana airport is the worst that my wife and I have been to. It took over an hour to get from the plane via BUS to Imagration and to our awaiting van.
This was the worst. We are so glad we got to the airport 3 HOURS before our flight left as we stood in line for 2 hours getting our carry on bags and other stuff xrayed and then another long line to go through Imagration to get our passports stamped when we left. There were NO SIGNS stating what line was club class and option plus so it was like a free for all to get on the bus again to be shuttled to the plane. Air Transat, fix this for others taking your flights to and from Punta Cana otherwise very happy with there service.
A air bus. Hotel Room. Being a UVC member we were upgraded to an Alure Deluxe Garden view in which had several issues when we entered the room. We were moved and upgraded to the Exhale club and appreciated it immensely. You cant just get rid of all the dampness so deal with it like we did. Our VIP hostess Elise was the highlight of our trip. My wife was celebrating her birthday and one night Elise surprised us with balloons, streamers, a bottle of rose sparking wine, a b-day cake,rose pedals on the bed and had our Jacuzzi tub with bubble bath filled and awaiting for my wife after the nightly shows were finished.
She was so so happy that she did this for us. Our room was and on the middle floor facing the now onyx resort. All I can say I gained 15 pounds lol while I was there as the food was terrific and always something to eat for everyone. The French was our favourite and tried the Italian and the International. I see many reviews saying that the alcohol is watered down and you must be in the exhale club to get top booze..
If you dont ask they will give you their Island substitute instead. A buck or two goes a long way my friend. The bar tenders went out of there way to make sure that you were satisfied and willing to make you a special drink of your liking as long as they had the mix's.
The E-team were wonderful and always had a smile and time to chat. The shows were great and cant say more.

Thanks to our maids that kept our room spotless and especially Welvise our min bar filler who left us a nice note thanking us for what we did for him. We left him a nice tip everyday and even if we didnt need anything. Not once did he ask us for money but when we had a chance to see him he had the biggest smile and thank you's for us. I left a nice note in spanish for him everyday thanking him for doing such a great job at the resort and for being such a wonderful young man that he is.
A special thanks to Adriana, Iyvone and for showing us the Zoetry down the road and upgrading us to the Exhale club. To quiet for us but beautiful grounds and units. The beach was spectacular and soft light brown sand and warm Atlantic ocean water. Had a chance to snorkle right off the beach. Saw many fish and fed over a bun that I grabbed from the burger shack. They were all over the place darting back and forth even taking it right out of my hand.

The only thing We didnt like was how pushy the Locals were in trying to get you to buy there goods. Oh well, we just said no and walked on and they left us alone. OH BOY that was a treat as one of the shop owners stopped my wife from leaving and insisted that she buy a tiny hand made shoulder bag that she was looking at.
