Please try again later. Verified Purchase. I bought this game for the sole purpose of playing it in offline co-op mode, with my son. The game is fun for us to play, this way, especially since heroes are unlocked in arcade mode. I definitely understand users' problems with multiplayer progression system, but I won't comment on that, because I only bought it for casual playing and for something my son and I can do, together.
The graphics are gorgeous, the settings authentic, and the gameplay is great. However, I AM seriously disappointed that all maps locations are not available in arcade mode -- specifically Hoth and Endor. I'm hoping they add more maps to arcade mode, in a future update. I'll certainly feel better about my purchase, if they do. Regardless, I'm glad I bought it. We've been having a lot of fun with it.
The game still has its quirks here and there, sometimes you still feel like it's a Pay-to-Win, but DICE and EA have tried to fix it by making rewards for completing milestones better, and you can redo them when they come up as daily challenges. Plus you get a daily loot crate with one card, 75 credits, and 15 crafting points, which helps. I still miss the game mode from the OG Battlefront II where space battles included the extra option of boarding enemy ships and destroying them from the inside and out. It's probably to reduce possibility of spawn killing. Maybe it will come back in the free expansions.
I also wish that Multiplayer Arcade Mode included Starfighter games. I love the Starfighter gameplay and being able to practice it with friends in Arcade mode would be awesome! Overall, I like that it is going back to the original class based system of the OG Battlefront games. The loot crate system has its pros and cons, but if you're just playing for the fun of it and you complete the Milestones in the game, you can close the gap between yourself and Pay-to-Win players pretty quickly, and you'll be a better player by the end of it. While I enjoyed the beta.
This game has been an utter disappointment. While I enjoyed the beta, the progression system feels slower in the final copy. I haven't been able to bring myself to play it for more than a few hours since I installed it. Not only that, but I have yet to play a game with a full lobby of players. Add onto this the fact that they sent the product code a week to a week and a half before the game released, thereby making it impossible to cancel my preorder before the release date and I can honestly say that I'm beyond disappointed.
I can say for certain that I will no longer be buying product codes from Amazon. Full physical releases only from here on out.
My son thoroughly enjoys playing as Vader and Kylo and the various locations that look like scenes from the movie itself. Its very involving and you can adjust the level of difficulty to suit the players' levels. According to PlayStation online we played this game for 33 hours in December! Good grief! And it was downloaded just before Christmas! Pre-ordered this to play the beta and didn't realize it was the digital copy so I was stuck with it.
Loot boxes and customer care destroyed this game. Offline co-op is alright but repetitive. Battlefront 2 still reigns supreme. Ea really messed this game up. Although better than part 1, I will NOT be spending any money on part 3 with them involved. They need to stick to madden, where they can rape and pillige wallets. I was pleased with this game.
