Go straight to the safari entrance as there is a place you can get out to eat and walk through animal areas before you go into the safari park itself You do need all day to look around longleat the safari gets busy and takes a couple of hours to drive round, definitely a must do first thing to avoid queues!
But on saying that the time goes very quickly looking at the animals! And you get a cd to listen to telling you about the animal species etc. You can get here, by taking a bus to Corsley Heath and walking thru the woods. The safari bus takes you thru the park. If you take your own car, be prepared for the monkeys to rip bits off your car-aerials, roof trim etc. Apparently, they prefer red or blue cars.
So much to see and do and loads of interaction with the animals. Don't take your car through the monkey enclosure as it will get damaged! Take the safari bus for this bit.
You need a two day pass to make the most of the whole experience. There was plenty to see and do! We loved the boat and feeding the seals! Also had the opportunity to see the old Gorilla!! The safari was good and the monkeys love sitting on the cars! I would definitely take my boys again xx.
