Thank you again for being our Guest and choosing Sensatori Resort Crete. We've just got back from a week at this amazing hotel, it was great from start to finish, we thought it had something for everyone. Rooms; were all lovely and clean and spacious, the bed wassooo comfortable! Mexican - This is open for lunch and you don't need to book in for this, so I wouldn't bother booking this in the evening, food was great here, especially loved the burgers, we ate here four lunchtimes!
Red Saffron - Went here for the adults only breakfast which was always lovely and quiet and a bit better quality of food. It is also the Greek restaurant in the evening, the food is delicious, we ate here twice Thai - Wasn't very Thai, the starters were lovely, but I had a thai green curry which was more like a curry from a Chinese, if you like Chinese then great! Hot Stones - We went here for my dad's 70th birthday, I thought it was over priced, 33 Euros for a fillet steak that you cook yourself on a hot stone, I wouldn't bother with this, if you want to go out to eat get a 12 Euro cab to Hersonissos where there are loads of restaurants and you can eat right on the beach.
Beach - the beach is just over the road, it's quite windy and the sea had a strong current so there is just a little bit cordoned off for swimming, sunsets on the beach were amazing you can take your drinks from the hotel to the beach. All the staff were great and really friendly, rooms were kept spotlessly clean. On my dad's birthday they put a cake and some bubbly their local stuff in his room which a nice touch.
Only negative really is people reserving sunbeds so you end up doing the same. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone, even for just adults if you don't mind kids, but if you don't want kids about go to an adults only hotel. Majority of staff very friendly Located right on the beach Bad points - Entertainment is most probably the worst I have experienced in all the hotels we have stayed in. Witnessed one of them screaming at another guest because his children were to close to the stage they only wanted to see and dance. They pretend its to do with health and safety, i can tell you its not. The stage is tiny, in my opionin they just do not want to interact with kids.
Come evening time children are basically on lockdown, I'm surprised they didn't supply each family with handcuffs to chain your children to yourself. They are not allowed to go anywhere near the stage. The entertainers do not engage with them. If children want to be entertained they are put in a big room INSIDE for an hour each night while the parents are expected to sit and watch with them or leave them and come back. The whole point of a family holiday is having fun, we were back in our rooms by 9pm most nights as they just do not have enough for kids.
You get quite a feeling of kids should be seen and not heard. Pools - Adult pools are amazing. Childrens pools - They are not kept clean enough, we had swarms of what one of the waiters told me were leaf hoppers that would land on you, near you all day long. This wasn't the problem as they were not harmful at all, however the pool becomes full of them as the day goes on and they are not cleaned out.
Not very appealing for the kids or adults. No one wants to swim with many dead bugs floating around them.
Overall the resort is amazing and if you were going as a couple or with a newborn baby then it would be perfect. If you are going as a family that want to have fun especially in the evening with kids included then this is not the resort for you. Great easy pick up from airport.
Every staff member could not have done more for us for the whole of our stay. They should all be congratulated. There were lifts to the rooms and the main building was beautiful. The food in the main restaurant, which was the only one we ate in, was first class. So much choice and all cooked to perfection. We ate outside for every meal. We were very impressed by the standard of cleanliness. If you say "no reserving" enforce it.
Row after row of "invisible" guests laying on undisturbed towels do not give " the Sesatori experience" Likewise no shorts or sleeveless shirts at dinners means that. There is one bloke here that I swear has had the same vest on morning noon and night for five days. A few more days and it will be up at the bar on its own ordering drinks, it's that lively.
Now I really don't want to share dining space with something smelling like a Skunk with halitosis and I'm sure I'm not alone in this. I understand this is not the resorts fault but keeping an eye on dress would help. I would come back here again for the service and facilities. We have a 3 year old and she loved it. Ignore the negative reviews. The hotel was spotless, the rooms modern and done to a high quality. Food was good, sometimes similar to previous, but not a problem.
I wouldn't say that it wasn't disability friendly We had a pram on some days and it wasn't difficult to get around.

We have just returned from a fantastic week at this hotel, transfer was quick and we were greeted with champagne or fresh orange then took to our room by a rep which was very helpful as the complex is quite big. Unfortunately we had room which was a swim up room, the room itself was really nice but the outside area was tiny and waterlogged as the water used to come over from the swim up and you only got the sun until 11am, looking around the site this is probably the worst and smallest swim up room which to be honest was a waste of money upgrading to this type of room.
There was plenty of choice of food in the main restaurant but the food was never piping hot, even on our last day we were there at 6. Steak house was well worth the visit even though it was chargeable. You could always get a sunbed at any time of the day but if you wanted one in the adults only area some people had towels on them from 6. There are plenty of pools to choose from so they are never crowded.
Entertainment varied but just ok. When ordering drinks you sometimes had to wait about 15 minutes before they arrived so it was just as quick to go to the bar. Cleaning staff were brilliant and do a fantastic job, restaurant and bar staff all very friendly too. All in all a very good holiday as long as you don't get room Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.

Myself and my husband stayed here in August for 1 week for our honeymoon and we couldn't have asked for anything better! When we arrived, we were greeted with a glass of bubbly and shown to our room, within about 20 minutes our luggage had arrived at our room! The whole place was spotless and the room was cleaned twice a day to a high standard. The turn down service with chocolates and sweets was also a lovely touch! You do have to be up early to get a sun bed, especially around the adult pool, but we found if we were there by 7.
This wasn't an issue for us as we get up early anyway. The food was gorgeous in the main restaurant and always plenty of choice. We also ate in the tex mex, Greek taverna and Thai, all of which we enjoyed. We payed to eat at the stone grill and was very impressed with this!
Bars were always well staffed, our favourite being the guru bar. Really couldn't complain with the choice and quality of drinks included in the all inclusive either! We also booked in to the spa for a massage each and can say it was the best massage I have ever had! The staff at this hotel really do go that extra mile to make you feel welcome and make sure you have everything you need! We would recommend this hotel to anyone, whether travelling as a couple or as a family and look forward to returning with our daughter for another fantastic holiday!
