This is a lame, idiotic way to prove something to the Kroger customers and I think it stinks. I am only 11 years old and me and my mom have always known about coupons but all we saw was 2. Until the coupon show aired and i find it a pleasure to watch and the ONLY thing to look forward to on wendsdays espeassialy now that school has started. I figured it out myself. There were no blogs back then.
Right now I feel about a million years old.. I agree that we have to stick together, but I must say that coupons, doubling, stacking, rebates, etc. I have this blog bookmarked becuase it gives accurate deals and never go to KCL. Yep, same here in Plano. I cannot tell you how many comments I get since that show aired when I pull out my coupons and check-out.
I live in the ATL area and I do not see how they will be able to do it and survive here because of the competition. There is almost always a Walmart and Publix within a few miles and in several locations a Super Target. I actually have a Publix and Walmart across the street and 2 Super Target less than 5 miles from the Kroger.
I have my options! They will lose money! The only reason I shop at Kroger is for items that are sale that I have coupons for.
Slightly less convenient for me, but I will switch on principle since they will price match without hassle, or move to Tom Thumb. I believe two reasons are behind these changes. If no other real competition exists there is no motivation for the stores to offer incentives. You would think that would be the case. Kroger is the only store in a 35 mile radius that doubles coupons.
I think they will have to continue doubling coupons here to be competitive.
My store doubles up to. On my shopping trip today, I used 35 coupons total. That is the only reson I shop at Kroger, to get the double coupons and to get the best deal I can. I will not shop there if they stop it in my area. I agree that people in this last year have really hurt the honest couponers.

Here is our action list, I hope we can work together to make our voices heard!! I used to be an avid Kroger shopper but I have since added other stores to my trip due to the changes in policy earlier this year. I do blame it on the show and the executives who took a simple way for families to save money and distorting the truth just to entertain the masses! Since that show aired tons of changes have taken place in the couponing world publix policy included.
Kroger has changed the limit to three like coupons in my area in Ohio. I am OK with that but if they stop doubling coupons then i will stop grocery shopping there. Im not concerned about the possibility of kroger stopping their doubles in my area because I will just shop elsewhere. What companies fail to realize as they make policy changes that make things harder for couponers, is that we are in control much more than they are. They do not affect us as much as they like to think when they make things harder. We go to the next store that has better deals for us. There is too much money in it.
Everyone makes a lot of money off of coupons. We will always be able to get these good deals. I have kroger, walmart, aldi, tom thumb and albertsons all within 5 mins of my house…. I will shop at Walmart now and price match. Full price is never an option for a couponer. Yes, I go to Kroger for the deals, but I also pick up many other full price items that I could technically get anywhere else.

I do feel that the airing of the show has enabled many new couponers to save money…. To help eliminate coupon fraud, even at the self checkouts the attendant MUST scan the coupons and so this can sometimes be very time consuming.
No, but I am sure it has helped. I hope that, in of itself, has helped alleviate the problem.
