We had a lovely stay in the Cadair room which has a gorgeous view from the window. We were made very welcome by Marc, Nick, and their staff. From our cosy, clean room we could see Cader Idris. The bedding was of the highest quality and Alpine Lodge. Waterloo Hotel.

Family adventures can be enjoyed on the Ffestiniog Railway, which transports you via steam train to glorious beaches of the Welsh coast and throughout Snowdonia National Park. The first is by car, along the A coastal road, or you can travel along the A5 from Shrewsbury or Bangor in North Wales. There are local buses operating through towns and villages in the national park, and if you are arriving by air, Liverpool John Lennon Airport is just over 2 hours' drive away.
