A great feature of the U bracket is that it does not cause a high stress point load that tries to crush your frame.
Yet another feature is ease of instillation as the U bracket alone helps hold the sliders up during instillation. Slip a single bolt in the middle mount just in case and the slider now holds itself while you line it up just right. So after many hours of CAD work a trick, stout skid plate was designed to keep you covered.
This skid acts as both catalytic protection and the slider mount on the front passenger side. I have an Fj55 that i want to replace the entire rocker panel area with a rock slider.

I have seen it done , but didnt know if you guys build them? Humm, that sounds like a good project, however it is not something I've done here at the shop. Building you a set of sliders is no problem, building you a set that will replace the sheet metal for your rocker, with out having the truck here is a different story. I wish you were closer. I am interested in your fj40 sliders. Can you post more pics. Yep here's a couple more. These are mounted how this particular customer wanted them.
There is nothing saying you couldn't mount them however you'd like. These are a great example of a custom set of sliders.
This customer is from Florida and called with the length of the slider, and the length of the legs two very easy dimensions to measure and we shipped him out these weld on sliders. Last edited by lenross1; at How much OTD to ?
