We ended up leaving the restaurant early and left most of our food.

Subsequently we ended up eating in the nearby Nandos restaurant because we were still hungry. I would be grateful if you could respond to my letter as a matter of urgency. I look forward to hearing from you in due course. Yours faithfully Taybarns hadn't replied to my letter by 1st October, so I sent them a copy of the original letter, with a covering letter, saying the least they could do was reply. I finally got my reply this week.
Needless to say, I gave the voucher away to a friend who happens to love the Taybarns experience!! But the awful orange colour and uncomfortable chairs do not give a very relaxing experience. But the amouunt of choice and great desserts will definitely make a hungry belly satisfied: Own or manage this property? Issue 1. Issue 2. The stations were not kept well at all. The food looked and tasted stale and the staff were not refilling stations that had run out of condiments for example the Mexican station had no salsa the whole time, just a crusty old bowl of the remains of some very old salsa.
There was no cheese or tortillas either. When I asked a member of staff he looked at me as if I had asked to sleep with his nan.
He sauntered over to the 'Italian' station and simply nicked their bowl of cheese. Then he went into the kitchen and brought out some cold tortillas, The story was the same for each station except the desserts which were actually ok.

We left feeling hungry, ripped off and worse still that night and the next morning my partner was physically sick. Dreadful place. Dreadful staff. Dreadful food what there was of it.
Dreadful service. Great place to share a meal with friends and family on a budget.
It's good that You can see the food being prepared in front of you and served straight from the ovens. There is plenty of choices from starters of soups and rolls, to salads, then the choices are from fish and chips, chicken, burgers, sausages, gammon all from the grill. Then you can choose Pizza, Mexican , chilli, currys, pasta, then there is a Carvery with home roasts with all the trimmings. Their deserts are a good range to suit everyone taste. What's great about Taybarns is that if your with children they can try different foods and not have to eat it if they don't like it, but go and try something else and it won't cost you a packet either.
It's a good way to treat the family and you can eat as much as you want, without it breaking the bank. Good family deals are on offer and also deals for pensioners during the day. The only thing I can say against Taybarns is that when it's busy , you may have to wait some time for a table, but it's a big place and the longest wait I have had was 20 mins, and when it's very busy it can be very noisey, not somewhere to have a romantic meal.
Don't waste your time going to Taybarns, the quality of the food is substandard, the whole dining experience is that of a nightmare.
If you want the full Taybarns experience.. You are better off just buying cheap microwave meals from a supermarket and eating them at home with dirty cutlery. This place has potential needs to improve with food quality and needs new carpets which are worn down to nothing! Own or manage this property?
