I've had 's of their burgers since [since either I'd go myself, or friends would want 2 and so would I], in both dunedin, then Auck. I used to not mind paying full price there because it'd be a good tasting product, and the portions would infact be 1.
No longer going there regularly as of months ago, but will try it out sometime infreq. I guess.
Agree, burgerfuel are consistently better with the burgers and service, but is a good deal. Might give them another shot, on a Tuesday obviously.

I thought this was a standard Velvet Burger thing…. Visit image gallery to purchase the image. Supplied via NZ Herald A "tongue in cheek" sign at an Auckland burger joint has been removed after a customer complained it triggered a childhood memory of being photographed by a paedophile.
The sign apparently indicated three self-contained toilets were unisex. Zandri Clarke-Spies, who dined there on September 28, said seeing the sign instantly dredged up traumatic memories of being photographed by a man while she was naked in a changing room aged It was really weird, you wouldn't expect something so small to trigger such an old memory," the year-old said.
As I was getting dressed I saw this flash of something dark in the corner of the changing room.
Years later he was convicted after being caught with hundreds of images and footage of child pornography at his home. With her personal history fresh in her mind, when she got home Clarke-Spies took to Facebook to relay her anger. The public post resulted in a handful of complaints to Velvet Burger's Facebook page and message inbox, which described the sign as "vile", "awful", "disgusting" and "disgraceful". Service was super friendly, the young man there serving on his own was a work horse, but still kind.
Fun seating arrangement that allows for some concealed fresh air seating.
My mentor at work took his mentees for a year end lunch. There was the buy one get one deal from Good value as the burgers are rather large and delicious too! My recommendation is that females should order the mini burgers as the normal burger is too big I didn't eat the full thing.
Worth a try if you have have deal Tuesday passcode. Apparently the passcode is available on the Facebook page. I tried the big BBQ burger and found it very good. Served on a wood platter and filled with lots of delicious veggies also. Service was friendly. The seating is open-air Own or manage this property?
